Sometimes change can be exciting — and this one surely is!
We’ve switched to a new baklava supplier at BOTH locations and we can’t wait for you to try the new offering!
Of course we still have the classics — walnut and pistachio as well as lady finger… but we now have STRAWBERRY pistachio, and CHOCOLATE (this chocolate baklava has chocolate baked INTO the phyllo dough), as well as an improved Namoura with Nuts.
We suggest to order a variety and have a baklava tasting with your family or friends! Something fun to do inside while it is burning hot outside.

Of course we’re all about the FOOD, but if you are looking for our summer DRINK recommendation … we love ciders with our fresh selection of salads and Mediterranean dips. And GOOD NEWS for anyone who would like to try this cider before committing… THIS WEDNESDAY, we will be sampling the dry rose hibiscus cider starting at 5:30 at the CARY location. Come taste, eat and be merry!

It’s about time to make weekend plans! Here’s another from MOUNIR’S LIST OF FAVORITES to give you plenty of options to choose from if you make a visit to this weekend and want some recommendations.
CHICKEN SHAWARMA WRAP is ’s favorite sandwich that we offer at the restaurant, he enjoys one every week. Chicken shawarma is sliced chicken breast that is marinated and seasoned with special shawarma spices and grilled with Lebanese pickles and tomatoes. Tahini lemon sauce is the perfect drizzle for this wrap.
You can enjoy this wrap by itself or make it a combo with two sides.

Mounir’s LIST OF FAVORITES would not be complete without this one. It’s no surprise that Chicken Curry (our Wednesday special) is on the top of the list for the owner— it’s one the top of many customers’ lists!
Creamy, mild heat, packed full of fresh vegetables and served with two sides, this plate hits the spot every time!
It is totally optional, but Mounir highly recommends enjoying the Curry Chicken over rice! “It soaks up the sauce!” He says with a smile 😀

If you know , you know how passionate he is about the pita bread! That being said, it makes a lot of sense that the perfect duo with pita (our dips!) has made his favorites list. He enjoy Hummus and Tatziki the most!

Although we are running a little behind, we will be highlighting MOUNIR’S favorites at Sassool! A great month to highlight his favorites since Father’s Day is in June and he is not only a dad of 5, but also is basically the entire staff’s work -dad.
Chicken and Potatoes is a comforting dish, yet light enough to eat in summer months. It has bold garlic sauce over the roasted potatoes and chicken breast… flavors reminiscent of a traditional recipe in Lebanon.
Come to Sassool on any Monday to enjoy this entree with two sides!
