✨ What is Ovarian Rejuvenation?✨

Ovarian rejuvenation is a process that stimulates the ovaries to induce follicle growth and produce high-quality eggs for fertilization. Platelet-Rich Plasma PRP, a concentrated solution of growth factors and cytokines taken from your own blood, is introduced into the ovaries and uterine cavity. This stimulates cellular rejuvenation and blood flow, naturally enhancing fertility. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis.

PRP may be suitable for women with:
- Low Ovarian Reserve (Low AMH)
- Poor Egg Quality
- Poor Egg Quantity
- Poor Response to IVF
- Failed Embryo Transfer
- Thin Endometrial Lining
- Recurrent Implantation Failure

Discover if PRP therapy is right for you! 💫

✨ Understanding Male Factor Infertility ✨

Did you know that 30% of infertility cases are due to male factor infertility alone? Despite this, only 41% of Ob/Gyn physicians consider a urological evaluation for the male partner, and just 24% routinely refer men to a urologist before ordering a semen analysis. Infertility is a challenge for couples to face together.

Men diagnosed with male factor infertility often embark on an emotionally complex journey. The hardest part is often setting up a consultation with your doctor or urologist. Evaluations should be performed by a urologist or reproductive expert with specialized training in male infertility. New diagnostic and treatment methods, including advanced s***m retrieval procedures, require expert care. 💙

NCCRM works closely with Board Certified Urologist Dr. Kevin Khoudary, who practices at Associated Urologists of NC, PA, conveniently located around the corner from NCCRM. Dr. Khoudary has extensive experience in treating all areas of male factor infertility.

✨ Thinking About Your Future Family? ✨

Many women are choosing to wait longer to achieve pregnancy, but age remains a key factor in fertility. Fertility peaks between ages 20 and 28. By 35, a woman's monthly chance of conceiving drops by half, and by 45, it's down to just 1%.

Thanks to recent successes in egg preservation, NCCRM now offers fertility preservation services through egg freezing for women 38 and under. While still considered experimental, over a hundred babies in the U.S. have been born through this technique. Women can expect age-related outcomes from fertility preservation. For instance, a 37-year-old who freezes her eggs can anticipate a 35% pregnancy rate when using those eggs later.

🌸Understanding Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome (PTLS)🌸

Did you know that roughly 37% of women experience Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome (PTLS) after tubal ligation surgery? Women who had their tubes cauterized at a younger age are at an even higher risk.

Common Symptoms of PTLS:
- Hot flashes
- Chronic fatigue
- Irregular or heavier periods
- Loss of libido
- Increased depression and/or anxiety
- Achy, sore joints and/or muscles
- Weight gain
- Memory lapse
- Pelvic pain
- Increased headaches

Can PTLS be treated?
Yes! Treatment for PTLS often involves a tubal ligation reversal. Many patients who undergo this procedure report significant improvements in their overall health and wellbeing. While the exact mechanism isn't fully understood, the results speak for themselves.

We can help you with your symptoms. A tubal ligation reversal is performed as an outpatient procedure at our facility.

🌸 Empowering Your Future: Fertility Preservation at NCCRM 🌸

Women are waiting longer than ever to start families, but age remains a key factor in fertility. Fertility peaks between ages 20-28, halves by age 35, and drops to just 1% by age 45.

Good news! NCCRM offers fertility preservation services through egg freezing for women up to age 38. Though still considered experimental, egg freezing has led to the birth of over a hundred babies in the US. Women can expect age-related outcomes from preserved eggs, meaning a 37-year-old freezing her eggs can anticipate a 35% pregnancy rate.

The process begins with a consultation, followed by prescreening (hormonal testing, ovarian and uterine evaluation, etc.). Our nurse will guide you through the stimulation process and medication instructions. During your cycle, fertility medications will stimulate egg production, monitored by frequent lab work and ultrasounds. After a final injection, the eggs are retrieved vaginally under sedation and then frozen for future use. This entire process takes about two months.

Understanding Male Factor Infertility

Male fertility is a complex process, regulated primarily by two pituitary hormones: FSH and LH. Here’s a quick breakdown:

🔍 How It Works:
- LH: Regulates Leydig cells to produce testosterone.
- FSH: Controls seminiferous tubules where s***m is produced in the Sertoli cells.

Sexual function is separate from s***m production, so a normal libido can exist even with low or absent s***m production.

💡 Causes of Male Factor Infertility:
- Idiopathic: Unknown causes.
- Hormonal Deficiencies: Low FSH, LH, or both.
- Cell Abnormalities: Issues with Leydig cells or seminiferous tubules.
- Prolactin Excess: Rare, but can interfere with s***m production.
- Genetic Issues: Abnormal s*x chromosomes or Y chromosome deletions.
- Varicocoele: Dilated veins in the sc***um.
- Anti-S***m Antibodies: Present in either partner.

🔬Semen Analysis:
- Volume: 2 to 5 ml.
- S***m Count: Minimum of 20 million motile s***m per ml.
- Motility & Morphology: Quality of movement and shape are crucial for fertilization.

A repeated analysis is essential if the initial count is abnormal. Some males might benefit from Intracytoplasmic S***m Injection (ICSI) combined with IVF.

🧬 Genetic Evaluation:
For males with no or low s***m counts, genetic testing is vital to rule out inheritable disorders. This includes checking for abnormal s*x chromosomes or Y chromosome deletions, and screening for cystic fibrosis carrier status.

👨‍⚕️ Partnering with Experts:
NCCRM collaborates with Board Certified Urologist Dr. Kevin Khoudary, who specializes in male factor infertility. He performs procedures at NCCRM’s office in Cary and at his practice.

🧊S***m Storage:
NCCRM offers s***m storage for men undergoing treatments like chemotherapy or radiation, and for those being deployed. Our lab is open seven days a week for s***m cryopreservation. Call (919) 233-1680 to schedule an appointment.

Gestational Surrogacy

At NCCRM, we specialize in gestational surrogacy, offering hope to those who can produce viable embryos but are unable to carry a pregnancy. Here’s what you need to know:

🔍What is Gestational Surrogacy?
Gestational surrogacy involves creating embryos through IVF using the intended parents' eggs and s***m, then transferring the embryos to the surrogate’s uterus. Unlike traditional surrogacy, the surrogate has no genetic link to the baby.

🏥 Surrogate Requirements:
- Must have at least one biological child they've raised
- Undergoes rigorous psychological and medical evaluations
- A detailed contract covers key issues: embryo transfer limits, multiple pregnancies, possible terminations, insurance, and lifestyle agreements.

🤝 Building Relationships:
Surrogacy is not just a medical process but a journey of relationships. The surrogate and intended parents stay in contact throughout the pregnancy, making it a rewarding experience for all involved.

🔄 The Process:
1. Synchronization of cycles between the egg provider and surrogate.
2. Egg retrieval from the egg provider.
3. Fertilization with the intended father’s s***m.
4. Embryo transfer to the surrogate’s uterus.

🌟 If you’re considering becoming a gestational surrogate to one of our NCCRM families, please contact us through our secure online form here: https://nccrm.medforward.com/FillOutForm.aspx?formname=Gestational_Carrier_Interest_Form

Discover PRP: A Revolutionary Approach in Reproductive Medicine🌟🩸

Have you heard about Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy? This innovative "blood cell therapy" is making waves in the world of assistive reproductive technologies. Here’s what you need to know:

🔬What is PRP?
PRP is a treatment derived from your own blood. By drawing your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge, we separate the red blood cells from a platelet concentrate. This process takes about 30 minutes and uses your own blood, minimizing the risk of allergies or rejection.

👶Ovarian Rejuvenation with PRP:
- Ideal for women with decreased ovarian reserves, premature ovarian insufficiency, or menopausal symptoms.
- Offers a chance to conceive without donor eggs.
- Improves quality of life for women experiencing early menopause.
- Safe, productive, and natural treatment option.

🌱Endometrial Lining and PRP:
- PRP therapy can help increase endometrial lining, enhancing IVF outcomes.
- Studies show promising results, with many women achieving successful pregnancies after PRP treatment.

✨ Embrace the Future of Fertility Treatments:
PRP therapy is a beacon of hope for many facing fertility challenges. Please give us a call to schedule a consultation to discuss PRP as an treatment option.

Discover the Benefits of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments!

🌿What is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a cutting-edge therapy used in various medical fields, including reproductive technologies. The procedure is simple: we draw your blood, separate the platelet concentrate using a centrifuge, and remove the red blood cells. This process takes about 30 minutes and, since it's your own blood, there's minimal risk of allergy or rejection.

🌿Ovarian Rejuvenation with PRP
PRP is a game-changer for women with decreased ovarian reserves, premature ovarian insufficiency, or menopausal symptoms. This treatment offers a chance to have a baby without donor eggs and can improve life quality for those experiencing early menopause without synthetic hormones. As many women delay childbirth, restoring ovarian function safely becomes crucial.

🌿How it Works
PRP, prepared from your own blood, is injected into the ovaries using ultrasound guidance or during abdominal surgery like tubal reversal. This natural, productive treatment is safe and effective.

🌿Endometrial Lining and PRP
Studies show PRP can enhance endometrial lining, crucial for successful IVF and pregnancy. A 2015 study revealed that women who failed to grow endometrial lining with conventional treatments saw significant success with PRP. Out of five patients with poor lining growth, four achieved successful pregnancies.

Ovarian rejuvenation through PRP is typically recommended for women over 40 with low AMH levels. Adding PRP to your tubal reversal procedure can increase chances of getting pregnant after surgery.
