Civic participation in action!
Casper Youth Council presented an update to the Casper City Council this evening. A few members also stood to speak in favor of the proposed ordinance amending Chapter 9.08 – Offenses Against the Person.
The Kiwanis Club of Casper is giving away free coats and winter gear for all ages--infants to adults.
The giveaways are being held at the Salvation Army Hope Center, 441 S Center on Saturday, November 19 and December 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Council Member Po***ck talked with us about ENGAGE and helped us understand how to define, create, beta test, and administer a survey. We also discussed how best to represent the findings and use the data collected. Tremendous insight and valuable help as we begin creating a NC Youth Assessment. Thank you, thank you!!

Students speak against removing controversial books from Casper school libraries On Monday night, Casper students had a message for the Natrona County School Board: don't remove books from school libraries.

Casper Youth Council will host its first Student Forum next week! Monday, November 22nd Casper's City Manager, Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Council Members will meet with 40+ students to discuss: themes/trends within our community and looking ahead to 2022; issues City Staff see impacting Casper economically and socially; big agenda items for Casper in the coming months/year; issues/ordinances young people should be aware of in our community; how the City and Council see more young people playing a role in our community; and how our youth might contribute/engage more effectively.
Two of our Casper Youth Council members, Bryce and Mason, were invited to represent the 16-18 year old demographic at the ENGAGE Summit: Creating Our Wyoming kick-off. They leaned in, listened, learned, contributed, and shared their voice. Truly a joy watching them participate in these meaningful conversations!
