Keep your kids hydrated for better health and energy! Proper hydration is key for their growth, focus, and overall well-being.

Why hydration matters:
âś…Boosts Energy: Water helps transport nutrients throughout the body, keeping kids energized and ready to learn and play.
âś…Supports Digestion: Staying hydrated aids digestion and prevents constipation.
âś…Enhances Focus: Dehydration can lead to tiredness and trouble concentrating. Keeping kids hydrated helps them stay sharp.

Tips to encourage hydration:
🌟Offer water with every meal and snack.
🌟Pack a water bottle for school and activities.
🌟Add slices of fruit to water for a fun twist!

Make water their drink of choice. It’s a simple way to keep them healthy and happy!

Join us for our Substance Use Recovery Support for Perinatal Moms & Birthing People online support group đź’™

This peer support group is for those from pregnancy to two years postpartum who are engaged in recovery or considering recovery from substance use disorders (SUD This is a meeting focused on recovery, meaning a goal of abstaining from use, excluding medications taken as prescribed. For people who are considering recovery or have had a slip, and have used the day of the meeting, listening and observing is welcome, rather than active participation. No diagnosis is needed to attend. The perinatal period brings about unique challenges for those trying to maintain sobriety, and this group is a space to share those experiences and receive support whether you’ve been sober for one day or one hundred days. Substance use disorders may include, but are not limited to, alcohol use disorder, opioid use disorder, and/or ma*****na use disorder. PSI recognizes SUD as a chronic illness of the brain from which we can recover and lead healthy lives, and we honor that there are multiple, unique pathways to recovery for each individual. We hope to support those on their recovery journey as they also navigate pregnancy and postpartum. We do not treat, diagnose, or conduct therapy in our sessions as the focus is peer support. These sessions would not be a replacement for therapy, addiction treatment, or medical care.

Timing is important! Neural tube defects (NTDs) form very early in pregnancy. People who can become pregnant and who are of childbearing age should take 400mcg of folic acid daily to reduce the risk of an NTD should they become pregnant.

Our Story

The Healthy Birth and Infant Brains Foundation was founded in 2014. Our mission is to promote healthy birth outcomes. Research shows that babies’ brains are especially susceptible to everything that’s happening in the mother’s body. We aim to ensure expectant mothers are provided with support and education to ensure their pregnancy is healthy and that their baby has the best start in life.

Our previous project, Early Kincare, included partnerships with Casper College and True Care. Our current Maternal & Child Health partnership is with the Casper-Natrona County Health Department. With their established infrastructure, highly-trained staff, and evidence and research-based programs, we are making more impact per dollar spent.

We would love your support to ensure more healthy births here in Casper! Please contact Aimee Jolley for more information at [email protected].
