Although new court cases have slowed, we are taking advantage of this time to modernize the office. We are scanning all traffic citation cases into our new paperless system, allowing us to empty out old filing cabinets and get rid of boxes and boxes of paper. The new system is faster and far more efficient.
I have been piecing together the history of Seminole County's Clerks and located a picture of E.A. Douglas. Clerk Douglas was the very first Seminole Clerk and was appointed by Governor Park Trammel on August 7, 1913. He served until August 5, 1925. Did you know the first court and commission records were recorded in cursive handwriting?
All Clerk's office locations will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 28th and 29th, in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday.
We value our relationships with our fellow constitutional officers. We work especially close with both the Seminole County Clerk Of Court and the Seminole County Tax Collector in the tax roll process and appreciate the efficiency our agencies have achieved together.
