4 Major Mistakes people make when growing out their hair.

1️⃣ Not getting regular haircuts. I recommend getting a cut every 12-16 weeks to take off dry, split ends and keep hair looking healthy.
2️⃣ Putting hair in a pony or bun all. the. time.
Keeping hair up in a tight pony or bun puts too much tension on the hairline and can cause breakage and hair loss. Try leaving your hair down for intermittent periods to give it some rest.
3️⃣ Heat styling without protection. It is so important to protect hair from heat! It causes damage and split ends. Always use a heat protectant when blowdrying and ironing.
4️⃣ Not giving hair the nourishment it needs. Using the right products makes a huge difference in the health of your hair. Use a sulfate-free shampoo for a gentler wash and color retention, a moisturizing conditioner, and it doesn't hurt to throw in a treatment mask once a week to keep your tresses healthy and happy 😀

3 Ways To Prevent Color Fading In the Summer ☀️🩴⛱️
🧢 Wear a hat or other head covering when out in the sun for long periods. This will also protect your scalp from getting sunburned!
💧 Soak hair in fresh water before heading into the pool or ocean. Your hair is like a sponge and will not absorb the chlorinated/salt water if it's already soaked
🧴 Always use a professional sulfate-free shampoo. This provides a more gentle wash with fewer "filler" ingredients to keep your color vibrant longer.

If you use a blowdryer, curling iron, or flat iron on your hair at all this is a must-have!
It will help to prevent breakage & split ends, lock in your style and protect hair from heat up to 450°
Available in spray or cream form, these are very lightweight with absolutely no product feel. The spray is usually my go-to, but the cream is also great to lightly smooth down frizz and add a hint of moisture...especially in our dry Colorado climate.

💜 "Purple shampoo" is a tinted shampoo that temporarily neutralizes gold/yellow tones. It is the at-home solution to "brassy" blonde hair.
💜 When your blonde is looking brassy or dull, you can use purple shampoo in place of your normal shampoo once a week to tone and brighten.

Good morning! I received word that the Tri-County Health Department may be extending the Stay-at-home order for Arapahoe county and that this decision will be announced Sunday. I also got communication from the Department of Regulatory Agencies that salons need to abide by city/county restrictions, regardless of the statewide orders. Please bear with me as this is an ever changing situation and I have to wait until these decisions come through before I can book any appointments and reopen my salon.
