Happy Labor Day!

Check out DRVC Department of Education’s new logo for Catholic Schools on Long Island!
Today the Department of Education of the Diocese of Rockville Centre has unveiled a new logo for the Catholic Schools on Long Island.
The new logo beautifully embodies the essence of our community and faith. At its center stands a lighthouse, a cherished symbol for all Long Islanders. At the base, what appears to be waves upon first glance is ingeniously designed to resemble a book, representing the Word of God, Truth, and Knowledge. The lighthouse's body proudly displays a Cross, signifying our deep-rooted faith in the power of the Paschal Mystery.
The lighthouse's bulb has been replaced with a monstrance, radiating beams of light, symbolizing that Catholic Education emanates from the Word of God and our Eucharistic faith. This light serves as a beacon, proclaiming that Catholic Education is a guiding light in the darkness.
As we prepare to begin a new school, please continue to pray for our Catholic Schools and the evangelization that happens within them daily.
Today, we celebrate the Queenship of Mary. Back in May, our second graders dressed up in their First Communion outfits and helped lead us in prayer during our May Crowning! Here at Our Lady Queen of Apostles, our faith is central in all we do.
