Hey y'all! It's been a while, but I'm excited to share what I've been up to!

I've been working on creating Rust & Restored's very own line of hand poured candles!

The Spring/Summer scents will (hopefully) be ready to launch for my birthday weekend...April 25th!

Check out this before & after!!

✔️ Strip 2 layers of damaged veneer

✔️ Sand oak top and prep for stain

✔️ Stain top with Barnwood wash to camouflage damaged areas

✔️ repair broken drawer

✔️ Paint dresser in HTP Polo

✔️ Add new matte black k***s

Dresser update!

Top before & after: I removed 2 layers of damaged veneer, and sanded the new surface smooth. It is a beautiful oak dovetailed top with a touch of rustic, thanks to the worm holes.
I was unable to completely sand out the damaged areas, so I opted to use my bar wash stain to blend them in. What a huge difference!

Once that dries, it will get several coats of poly to seal it.

Now, time for paint & new k***s on the bottom!

When you remove not one, but 2 layers of old damaged veneer & reveal a beautifully dovetailed oak top!!

Now to clean it up with the finish sander.
