🎇 Spotlight on 2023 Care Professional of the Year Angie Avritt 🎇
Inspired by her late husband’s fight with Parkinson’s, Angie became a Home Instead Care Professional in 2021. During her time with Home Instead, Angie has quietly gained a reputation at her Home Instead Urbandale, Iowa office, and community for going the extra mile to help her fellow Care Pros and provide outstanding care to her clients.
She is known for picking up shifts on various holidays to ensure her team can spend more time with their families; advocating for fundraisers such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s; and sharing her personal experience and knowledge on Parkinson’s care to better prepare fellow Care Pros for their jobs.
Angie, who hails from the Philippines, also has a talent for building trust with her clients through intentional listening and asking questions to better their daily lives. One of the ways she's learned to connect with a particular client is through a mutual love for music; engaging with them by singing karaoke songs -- a hobby she has long shared with family and friends.
