He will continue to build upon the successes of Dr. Gloria Salazar through the clinical expansion, growth of our educational programs, and fostering research in the Division and beyond.Congratulations on this huge success, and we look forward to seeing how the Division continues to grow.
It is our pleasure to announce Dr. Gloria Salazar, Associate Professor of Radiology, has been promoted to the inaugural role of Vice Chair of Diversity and Health Equity. In her role, she will oversee the growth and expansion of our Castillo Scholars at UNC. In addition, she will be promoting global health, health inequity research, and the professional development of our women and URM faculty and trainees. Congratulations on the exciting new opportunity. We can’t wait to see the unique ways in which our Diversity and Health Equity will continue to grow and expand.
