Jim currently serves as ACA for the Department of Neurosurgery and UNC Health’s System Director for Specialty Programs. UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill is cited as the No. 2 hospital in the state and within the Triangle in U.S. News’ 2024-25 “Best Hospitals” report released today. UNC Health Rex in Raleigh is rated as the No. 4 hospital in the state and No. 3 in the Triangle region.

Congratulations and appreciation to all involved! UNC Surgery teammates’ efforts in these achievements include areas celebrated as “high performing” adult specialties: Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, and Pulmonology & Lung Surgery and “high performing” in Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, colon cancer surgery, gynecological cancer surgery, and lung cancer surgery.
