We are the Capital High School "Cougar Battalion" located in Charleston, West Virginia. Our Army Instructor is First Sergeant Robert Riley.
The Mission of the U.S. Army JROTC is "To Motivate young people to become better citizens."
Well, JCLC has finally wound down and all the Cadets are home safe. It was an absolutely epic week. There are so many people that I need to thank that I couldn’t possibly list them all. So for everyone, let me simply say THANK YOU. I do want to mention two people in particular. SFC Chad Blair of the WV Army National Guard and SSG Robert Gilligan of the US Army. These are two of our local recruiters for Capital, and were immensely crucial to the success that we had. I can’t thank you gentlemen enough for not only what you did at camp, but also your continued support of our program and Capital High School. Finally, to my Battle Buddy, Jeff Lambert. Thank you for all the years as an instructor, and for the last two years as my partner. You were instrumental in all of our success, and I hope you enjoy your well deserved retirement. Once a Cougar, always a Cougar.

This is why we take their phones. Look at the smiles and laughter. Memories are made with people, not through phone screens. I am so proud of the Cougars and how they have conducted themselves. Such an amazing week.
I wasn’t able to get as many pictures today due to working the rappel tower, but the photographer here took a bunch and as soon I get them, I’ll post them too.
