Captain John Irwin
Fishing everywhere all the time
Momentous day for little Johnny on Monday. My man caught his for tailer on a So proud of this little guy! He even insisted on trying his own knot that day. Must have been a good one! You know what they say “If you don’t know knots, tie lots”
Rod- NRX 901s
Reel- Stella 2500
Had a blast fishing the with my OG fishing partner While we had trouble keeping the right ones to stay buttoned she did manage to score this beautiful fish. Enough to win big fish at 32”. Great shot, great eat, and a crazy fight. Can’t wait to do it again next year!
Crazy persistent NE wind lately. Definitely has the water cooled down a bit and the fish getting into fall mode. Creeks are full of bait, and the fish are eating really well. Great stretch ahead.

There’s no doubt we’ve been enjoying some excellent trout fishing this summer. Lots of beautiful, healthy fish around. It’s been staying solid and hopefully just gets better going into the fall.
Still a little breezy offshore so we couldn’t make it happen out there today. We made the best of it though. Another fun day with Kurt and Dave and Brad!
Great day flipping@ plugs into those tight spaces. Always great sharing the boat with my old friend and his son
NE wind had us trapped inside most of the week. The new just as good inshore as it is out in the ocean.
Really enjoyed the time on the boat this morning with Bodey and his Dad. Some nice fish and deep discussions about how to catch them. It’s nice sharing the boat with so many passionate young anglers. Summer break is definitely here!
Happy Mother’s Day to our rock, our leader, we love you forever. Thank you for making us put sunscreen on, keeping us safe, helping us make the right choices, bringing light when it’s dark, and loving us no matter what. We’d surely be lost without you. Love you Mama!!
Serious fun with my little boy before work this evening.i thought about letting him take my trip for me but he said his arms were tired. My man loves him some fishing!
Happy Mother’s Day! To our love, our rock, our leader. We love u forever!!
Many travels with these two. It’s easy to capture these moments when they are around because the rod frequently has a bend in it. Special moment here of .daly.leroy and and their guide Wicho doing what they do best.
Always willing to smile for the camera.
What a week. That big cold front found its way down to early last week. It was a little off for a second but things got back on track real quick. A typical size found in this area. Not too big, not too small, just right.

Still hanging around enjoying our last day and night. Lots of memories to scroll through when I get home. Many varieties of snappers can be found here. Always willing to bite some feathers!
Next stop See you in a little bit.
Got er done this morning before work and before these dudes had to go to school.
Off to fun start down on the Beautiful, sleepy old place.
March fishing is anything but normal. Fish tailing, happy and messing around on the warm mud yesterday. Visually some of the coolest feeding action I see. Change flies about ten times then this guy finally eats a little #10 10’ from the side of the boat. Go figure💁♂️ Some places they seemed happy others just straight up weird!
Typical spring fishing. Could be 35, could be 85…. Gets the fish moving and changing patterns a bit. Looks like we may see some of those 30s tomorrow am, I’m Hopi g that’s the last gasp!!
I had some questions this week about what color do I like to use. While sometimes it’s a visibility thing it’s also a great reference for what size line you have on that particular set up. I’ll keep all my 10 # super slick in marine blue, 15 # in vermillion red, 30 # green, etc….Super helpful when you need to grab something quick out of the rod holder. It’s that time to get everything spooled up. Seems like spring is upon us.
Reloading on Juventude here in a few weeks. Can’t wait to visit with old friends and meet some new ones.
Easy to get excited about a new ride! Made it by today to narrow things down and get moving forward on a new build. Hopefully making it to the mold by late summer. Was great to meet everyone and see how things are done. Super excited about this process. After a busy summer will be here before I know it I’m sure.
