To our customers: Since 2009 you have trusted us to care for your pets. We sincerely appreciate all the community support over the years - it has truly been a small-business dream come true for me and my family.

To my staff: We could not have done it without you and the exceptional care you provided each pet that walked through the doors. A very special thanks to the management team that has been in place for over a decade and kept things running smooth over the years.

Unfortunately, this is not an April Fools prank and we are indeed currently closed for business.

However, the Wag Factory is down, but not out. Stay tuned for updates on our plans to come back bigger and better than ever!

We will be taking refund requests from now until May 15, 2022 for any ACTIVE unused packages/services (prorated). You must follow these instructions in order to receive your refund:

Since 2009, the Wag Factory has served James Island – treating every pet that walks through our doors like family. We could never fully express our deep gratitude for the support we’ve received from our loyal customers.

Unfortunately, due to several factors beyond our control, we are being forced to close at the end of the month – March 31, 2022. We sincerely apologize if your upcoming reservation is affected by our closure, however all reservations for April 1, 2022 and beyond must be cancelled. For active daycare packages, direction will be given in the coming days to request a prorated refund.

In late 2021, the land at our current location 719 Folly was sold. Since then we have explored every possible relocation option without any success. Zoning for a dog daycare/boarding facility is nearly non-existent on James Island and surrounding areas, and the few properties that meet our criteria are either priced well beyond our means or have neighbors unsupportive of our business. The final blow was dealt when we were notified our lease extension would be terminated 3 months early.

We plan to continue our search for a new location and are hoping it is not a “Goodbye” but rather a “See you later”.
