Services for Mrs. Stevenson will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 1:00 PM at
Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (3400 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216)
A photo of Mrs. Stevenson from her 1980 School Board race— also the year she started the Tuesday Morning Breakfast Forum in Charlotte. Mrs. Stevenson’s sons attended Morgan School, and the family lived in Cherry (1906 Baxter) for several decades. 🍒
We mourn the recent loss of Mrs. Sarah Belle Mingo Stevenson, who lived on Baxter Street in Cherry for many years.

$3.8M in Action Fund Grants Help Protect 40 African American Historic Sites | National Trust for Historic Preservation Now in its sixth year, the Action Fund's National Grant Program in 2023 is supporting 40 grant recipients that represent important aspects of African American life and achievement.
The UDO will certainly impact Cherry. 🍒

Upcoming Cherry Neighborhood Meeting!
We are pleased to have received the "green light" to resume our on-site meetings at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. So, please join us for the quarterly Cherry Neighborhood Meeting that will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the church (517 Baldwin Avenue).
Just a reminder that our quarterly meetings will now be held on Thursdays instead of Mondays, on the 5th Thursday of each quarter, to prevent conflicts with pre-scheduled government and other local meetings. Our quarterly meeting schedule for the remainder of the year is provided below. In the event there is a need for a schedule modification, notifications will be provided. Neighborhood Meeting signs will also be posted in the community prior to each quarterly meeting.
