Ticks can spread diseases to humans and pets alike, so keep your babies safe this summer by making sure their flea and tick prevention is up to date!

New ‘exotic’ tick invades NC, and it’s an ‘aggressive biter.’ How far has it spread? A species of East Asian tick has found its way to N.C. The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports it found the Longhorned tick on an opossum in Polk County and fears the bug will spread quickly.

We would like to take a second to send our thoughts and prayers to the Lauer family who lost their sweet baby, Darby, recently. Darby was always such a sweet girl and we always loved having her here. Thank you for letting us take care of her during her short time. Whiskers family loves you all.

Happy Friday everyone! We would like to take a few seconds to remind everyone that because we are a cage-free facility, meaning your babies get to run around and play with other dogs as they please, we do require the rabies vaccination, bordatella vaccination, and distemper vaccination. Distemper & rabies are required and vets typically will vaccinate your dog with both, but bordatella is optional as it helps prevent kennel cough. Please make sure your dog is up to date on all three of these shots as all three are required for us to perform services on them. We love having your babies here at Whiskers & look forward to seeing them all soon!
