A few more from my “Just Because Session” with the wonderful Miss Aubrey. This time showcasing medium format and 35mm photos. The first two images were shot with a Pentax 6×7 and the legendary 105mm 2.4 lens, the last two with an equally legendary set up, the Olympus, OM1 and a 135mm, 2.8 lens. Honey for the soul!
Portraits of the wonderful young actress/dancer/model . All photographed on 4x5 film, a 70 year old camera and a 100 year old lens. In addition to large format I also shot Aubrey on 35mm and medium format, stay tuned for those. A camera of course is just a tool, be it analogue or digital but goodness gracious how I love the organic beauty of film.
I took a short summer hiatus from social media, it was good, I’m back with a large format / antique lens portrait in the woods session with the marvelous Cruse family.
A very wonderful Independence Day to all of my American friends❤️❤️❤️

Why do I love the woods so much? It’s always been a magical place for me since childhood, full of texture and mystery. Tech Note: Fuji XT1, Vintage Leica lens (circa 1957)
Olivia Shoot Three, Part One. Tech Note: GFX 50s, Voightlander 58mm 1.4
Super talented young actress . I always shoot the “required” head shots and then it’s play time. I shot all on a Fuji XT2 and vintage Leica lens. The lens is 65yo. It has 2 distinct personalities, wide open it’s soft and glowing, stopped down it gives the classic Leica look. It’s my friend.
Playing with the light, with beautiful .p.modeling in SouthEnd. Tech Note: Fuji XT-2, Viltrox 23mm 1.4
It’s a family affair with interior designer & super mum .design These we’re taken at Cate’s branding shoot. We did all the serious stuff and then brought in the kiddos. This is what happened. Btw. It’s never too serious with super stylist Good times. Tech note; Nikon Z7Ii, Nikon 24-70 lens.
