We had an F56 B46 come in today with an EAC sensor failure due to contaminated manufacturing material of the cooling fan shroud. The chemical composition of the shroud of the cooling fan contaminated the environmental air control sensor which in turn compromised the radiator. We were able to use a combination of Autologic, service bulletin research, advanced fiber optic camera locating the offending part number and after consulting with MINI - it’s covered under extended EPA warranty so the customer can get it repaired for free.

In other words. A MINI came in broken and we got to use our cool new camera tool to find the problem.

1988 900 Turbo, 2008 9-3 TurboX and 2011 9-5 XWD. And that’s just one side of the shop today.

It was time to update the old signs. How’d we do?

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and donated supplies to the shop. If you want to help, there is a Facebook group called SUPPORT UKRAINE CHARLOTTE, NC. They need tactical and medical supplies first and will send hygiene and non perishable food supplies later. Things like band aids, gauze, pain relievers are needed and will be sent out first. Let’s do what we can for those who need some help.

Got a little something towed in today. 1965 right hand drive Mini Clubman Estate. It’s absolutely adorable.

We at the Swedish Garage have some friends in the US government that can quickly get needed supplies to where they need to get to on the ground in Ukraine. If anyone wants to drop off things like band aids, medical supplies, dry goods . . . our friends will get them there quickly. Once we get a few boxes filled, we will ship them off.

It is with a heavy heart that we post that we lost Kathy yesterday. She passed peacefully in her sleep and is reunited with Russ once again. We will post details of the service as they become available.

Project car is almost complete. 2010 9-3 2.0T. New tires and tire sensors. Replaced intake valves and engine computer. Replaced front seats. Will be available to purchase next week . . .

An upgraded stereo makes an older car seem new. We can add Bluetooth connectivity, hands free calling and navigation.

Please don’t use any type of stop leak. This is an oil cooler off of a MINI that we planned on simply resealing. It now needs a $180 part. Remember - if it stops the leak, it also stops the flow.
