What a great way to kick off the fall! Monday, the MetMin King Ohemig Memorial Classic Golf Tournament was held, and boy was it a blast! We could not have done it without our friends at Koch Foods who honorably helped us present this year's tournament. A big thank you to the UTC wrestling team for coming to help with all the heavy lifting, and a very special thank you to all our committee members who made this event a resounding success. We are so honored to have this special tournament as a reflection of the legacy of long-time MetMin supporter and friend, King Oehmig.

Congratulations to Hamilton County, City of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Regional Homeless Coalition, Chattanooga Housing Authority, Community Foundation, and all of the areas non-profits, faith-based and others who have joined together to shelter those experiencing homelessness or risk of eviction. In one year, we have a 40% reduction in those experiencing homelessness. Here at Metropolitan Ministries we are humbled to be a part of this coalition of service providers. We are blessed to share a meal today with our guests family. I want to thank our team and Cempa Community Care team for all pitching in for our family guest lunch. Each holiday we hope to bring people together for a meal, fun, and fellowship.
Every month the a staff member leads our team (therapeutic) building activity. Last month we made soap and today the staff painted these beautiful pieces. I was extremely impressed. Thank you to the Chattery for their wonderful events and gracious staff. I am filled by the care and dedication of our staff. Servant hearts daily. Blessings everyone.
Here at Metropolitan Ministries, we are blessed by the many supporters who give unselfishly to increase the services we provide here at the Impact Hub. One of those is the White Oak Bicycle Coop. They do an amazing job of refurbishing these old bikes and distribute them throughout our community. They support our guests with bikes each month for which we are grateful.
