Happy Law Enforcement Appreciation Day!

We are constantly in awe of the selfless work that our law enforcement officers do every single day.

Whether it's patrol officers helping a needy family get a warm bed for the night, investigators bringing closure to victims, or just simply being the calm in a chaotic situation, we hold our officers to the highest standard and they always seem to exceed them.

We appreciate you!

Officer Bryant with CPD received the IBPO “Top Gun” award for the month of January due to a pursuit, foot chase and safe apprehension of a known gang member. The gun was linked back to a shots fired incident from a few days prior and led to vital information concerning the string of robberies which are on-going.
Officer Bryant is making your city safer.

Help Cuba get back on his feet, organized by Joseph Coleman 04/30/2021

On 04/20/2021 while Cuba was riding his motorcycle home, he was hit nearly head-on by a driver that was high on narcotics. Cuba sustained major injuries to his legs and some injuries to his upper body. Cuba will be unable to be on his feet for at least 8 months to a year. It is unknown at this time when he will be able to go back to work. Cuba is in good spirits and hoping for a speedy recovery. His vehicle has been in the shop for the last nine months for a transmission issue that had finally been fixed the day of his crash. This had left Cuba with his motorcycle as the only means of transportation. The shop bill for his vehicle is an issue that hopefully can be taken care of.

To make matters worse, Cuba just bought a house and was in the middle of doing some renovations when the crash occurred. Cuba was refinishing his hardwood floors when he was hit. Also, he was in the process of fixing a water drainage issue behind his house. Medical bills will start stacking up quickly. Let’s come together and help Cuba through this hard time. Any donation is greatly appreciated!

Chancellor Fleenor said in the order, "Police officers are unique employees who put their lives in harm’s way on a daily basis to ensure Chattanooga is a safe place for people to live, work, and visit. It would be disingenuous to assume that the policy of Chattanooga is any other than to keep these vital employees incentivized by a fair pay structure.”

City Loses Another Appeal In Pay Case Brought By 25 High-Ranking Police Officers Chancellor Pam Fleenor has affirmed a $828,700 judgment on behalf of 25 long-time senior police officers against the city of Chattanooga.
