On Sunday, August 4, we were able to host over 60 people to give away backpacks, and school supplies, make a family craft, have the students lead worship with singing and dancing, pray over the students as they were headed back to school, along with a devotional given from Captain Shalanda Jackson. This was a huge team effort from our corps and community center coming together to put this on. We ended the event with some walking tacos, cooked by Major Ray Jackson. The Lord was praised and honored along with lots of fun!

The East Lake Summer Program took their teens for a picnic at Chilhowee and later ventured to Benton Falls for a three-mile hike where they overcame adversity such as mother nature - rain, spiders, and plenty of stairs. This was a first-time experience for most of our teens, but I am sure it will not be their last.
We can continue to give our children and teens these amazing experiences and opportunities by donating to our organization

Our Women's and Senior's Group celebrated the Olympics on Friday with an enjoyable gathering. Thanks to all who contributed. We had fun hula hooping, enjoyed a delicious meal, decorated torches in groups, and were moved by Mrs. Marilyn's devotional. We also enjoyed Olympic Cupcakes and adult coloring, and medals were given to all. Although Paris may not be within our reach, we brought the gold to Chattanooga Citadel today, where everyone was and IS a winner. We thank God for these good times we get to enjoy together🥇 🎉
