What to expect from the Locals Only Music Festival Five Wits Brewing Co. + Barrelhouse Ballroom is hosting the first annual Locals Only Music Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 13, featuring local area musicians and vendors.

~ It's officially Fall, y'all! ~

Which means it's officially unofficially Festbier season!

We've got our much-anticipated annual Oktoberfest beer - 𝑯𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒊𝒍 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒃𝒊𝒆𝒓 - back on draft, with cans to come soon.

A deliciously-crisp German-style Festbier, this beer is bready, malty, and crisp while still being light, crushable, and super rerefreshing. Germab noble hops balance out the malt's sweetness to perfection, without any hoppy bitterness.

Also, not gonna lie, this year's batch is the best batch so far of this beer 😋

It's a single batch, and will be limited supply, so be sure to get in and get it while it lasts! 🍻

Gonna be hand selecting some of the most punchy, dank, delicious, aromatic and wonderful hops we can from this year's harvest to keep bringing y'all fresh and delicious beers all through 2025.

Say hello to Camp Kristal Lake, another in out Staff Series lineup that will be debuting at our innaugural Locals Only Music Festival at .ballroom on October 12th and 13th.

This Kristalweizen was brewed by your favorite bartender/music venue dude/local drum machine: Lake!

A cousin to the hefeweizen style, Kristalweizens are perfect daytime lawnmower beers, afternoon-at-the-lake beers, or really just anytime beers. With all the favorite notes of banana and clove, on a soft anf crisp Pilsner malt base, but without the murky and hazy appearance of a traditional hefeweizen, this style is a total crusherbeer.

These are boneless wings like you've never had before. Instead of using some lame pre-cooked frozen chicken nugget, we use springer mountain chicken thigh and cut it in the shape of wings, fry it, and cook it in a wok with fresh garlic, ginger and our homemade general tao sauce. That's what makes our boneless wings great.

We're in the final few days of the 2024 Olympics with the last chances for Team USA to tally up some more medals!

From 2-4pm today for Track & Field Finals and tomorrow morning for the Women's Soccer Finals at 11am, we'll be slinging our Gold Medal Grisette for $5 a pint while watching our teams compete for gold.

A hastily taken photo of a hefeweizen poured into a random glass, after another long day in another long week, on a cluttered desk full of tools for projects around a brewery just barely able to fit all the kegs, cans, raw materials, and beers we've rolling out; brewing into tanks as soon as they're empty, so we can keep bringing you the hits.

Y'all, we👏 have👏 been👏 busy👏!

You might've noticed a dip in the beer-focused content we've been able to post, and that's because we've been hard at work just trying to keep up with all the beer we've been selling! It has been a round-the-clock summer, and as those of you who frequent our taproom can attest, we're here 7 days a week just trying to keep these tanks filled with a mix of core brands, seasonals, and exciting new pilot beers.

It has been a whirlwind 7 months, with our .ballroom music venue continuing to get amazing acts to come through Chattanooga and bring y'all top-notch shows and events, with all the wondetful bars and restaurants in Hamilton County and all throughout East Tennessee who serve our beers, and with us being the beergarden supplier this season for ...it's been one heck of a year so far...so much so that we had to get 2 new tanks installed just to keep up with all the beers that y'all are buying!

Chattanooga, thank you!!
