TRAVEL PAYMENT DISCOUNT APPROACHING! (Please pass this on)

This is just a reminder if your teams want to take advantage of the early payment discount they must pay their ice balance in full no later than Thursday, August 15, 2024. Below are the deadlines from the sheet they received when they registered:

For Travel:
Discount if hockey account balance is paid in full by August 15, 2024.
Balance is to be paid in full by September 15, 2024 for all Travel participants
If Hockey balance is not paid by September 16, 2024, a late fee will be added to the balance due.

Payments can be made a couple of ways:
in person in the hockey office every Tuesday & Wednesday from 6:00-9:00pm (we will have the office staffed on the discount week from Monday, August 12, 2024 - Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 6:00-9:00pm). PARENTS MAY MAKE PAYMENTS AT THOSE HOURS ALSO BY CALLING THE HOCKEY OFFICE AT 716-897-7207 AND MAKE THE PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE. HOWEVER CALLS ARE HEAVY, SO DONT WAIT. THERE IS NO EXCEPTIONS FOR NOT GETTING THOUGH OR JUST LEAVING A MESSAGE!!!!

You may also call the Youth & Rec offices during the day from 10:00am-3:00pm Mon-Fri at 716-897-7207 and tell them you would like to pay your hockey balance. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are going to be a “rostered” coach, assistant or manager please let them know when you are making the payment, this is important!

Congratulations to our Peewee Major TB & NTB teams both teams raised a total of $11,895 by skating for 3 hours today in the 11 day power play. Way to go Warriors!

Please note we will take payments and sign ups on Tuesday, July 2nd but there is no hockey sign-up or payments taken on Wednesday, July 3rd in observance of the holiday. Thank you… we will resume sign ups the following week on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 9th and 10th from 6:00-9:00pm at the Cheektowaga Rink, Have a great holiday everyone!

To all our hockey dads out there…from all of us at the Cheektowaga Hockey Program…Happy Fathers Day!

Just a reminder, the rink will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday, there will be no MOHL signups or payments. The rink will be open on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 6:00-9:00pm for signups and payments.

As we are approaching the 2024-2025 Hockey Season, it is time to start planning for your tournaments. It is my hope that you would consider choosing the 1st Annual Christian Ciskal Memorial Mite Tournament hosted by the Town of Cheektowaga Youth and Recreation Department.

Christian Ciskal died on August 26, 2022, at the age of 14. Christian died unexpectedly without cause or warning. The 2024-2025 Hockey Season will be the first year for the Annual Christian Ciskal Memorial Tournament, and plan for this to be the area’s top tournament for years to come, promoting community, sportsmanship, teamwork, and most of all, having fun!

The goal of this tournament is to showcase what Christian loved so much the sport of hockey and team comradery. All funds raised from this tournament will be donated by the Christian Ciskal Memorial Tournament, back into the community in forms of scholarships to help kids afford to play hockey, have proper equipment and enjoy the sport as much as he did.

Cheektowaga Warriors Hockey Program MOHL Signup Information!

Registration for the 2024-2025 Cheektowaga Warriors MOHL League season will start on Wednesday, March 6th for Xrink to Peewee, April 10th for Bantam & Midget. After April 11, 2024 registrations will only be accepted in the Hockey Office at the Recreation Center on Tuesdays & Wednesdays starting on April 16, 2024 from 6:00-9:00pm throughout the spring & summer until the rink opens in September.

We will accept registrations for the Sq**rt through Midget age groups until we have filled a roster; after this point we will create a waiting list until we have enough participants to possibly fill another team. We will not be limiting the number of registrants accepted for the Mite Cross Rinks Programs at this time.

To register for the 2024-2025 season, participants must fill out and sign a commitment form and make a deposit of $200; this deposit is non-refundable (unless a team or second cannot be filled, we will refund the deposit). If we are unable to fill a complete team, the deposit will be refunded. As per our policy, all participants will be registered into the program at the ‘Non-Resident Rate’ unless they produce in person, a valid Town of Cheektowaga Resident Discount Card; Discount Cards from parents will only be accepted for players under the age of 7. There are absolutely no exceptions to this policy. If players need jerseys they must also pay the amount in full at the time of registration of $220/pair, $240/pair for goalies, checks made out to “Identity Ink”. (This does not apply to players signing up for the Xrinks Program).

Payments are due, in full by Wednesday, September 4th, 2024; all accounts paid in full by this date will receive a discount of $100.00 off the published fee (* Note: there is no $100 early payment discount for the Xrinks Program). All participants who are not paid in full by Wednesday, October 2, 2024 will be assessed a $100.00 late fee and removed from participating in the program until their account balance is paid in full. Participating families wishing to make summer payments can do so Monday-Friday from 10:00am - 3:00pm at the Youth & Recreation Main Office, located at 275 Alexander Avenue or by calling 716-897-7207 during the previous listed hours.

We accept the following forms of payment: Cash, Personal Check, Money Order, Visa, Master Card, Discover Card and Independent Health’s Flex Fit. Participants who have an outstanding balance on their account from pervious Town of Cheektowaga programs will not be allowed to register until their account balance is paid in full.
