Silent panic attacks happen unexpectedly during times of stress or confrontation or when we have feelings of being overwhelmed with daily tasks. They come on sudden and build up so silently that you don’t understand what is happening until you react or shutdown. Millions of people suffer with anxiety. One thing we can do to start to reset the central Nervous system is to SLOW down. We run at such a productive rate that we feel as though we are racing against time. SLOW time down by slowing down your pace, your breathing and your life. Every part of it from how fast we talk to how fast we drive. Just slow down….

Life can be unsettling and if you wrestle with anxiety or traumatic experiences it all can feel very threatening and unsafe. Recognizing when you’re feeling these emotions and focusing on yourself versus what is happening around you can be grounding and bring back a sense of feeling safe.
Everything we were is what we needed to be in the face of adversity. Shame has no place there. Only strength and courage.
Transform this energy to Love. Self Love.
Never let go of where you came from. You may need it one day. But for now, rest.
We forget how powerful our words are, and when we make promises, it is up to us to make sure we keep our words sacred.
Ever since human beings could speak to one another, they have been making promises. Those who keep their promises are regarded as people of integrity. Those who don’t keep their promises are regarded as people who, at best, can’t be taken seriously and, at worst, can’t be trusted. Sometimes we forget how powerful our words are, and we use them haphazardly or unconsciously, creating expectations that are never fulfilled and leaving disappointment and distrust in our wake.
Although all yoga is potentially therapeutic and healing, IAYT-certified yoga therapists specifically apply yoga tools to address an individual‘s physical, mental, and emotional needs. Yoga therapy is care for the whole person, not just the physical body!
Practices your yoga therapist uses could include breathing exercises, meditation techniques, and, yes, physical postures or exercises. Although many people first learn about yoga through those physical poses, the discipline isn’t just about stretching or movement. In fact, yoga therapy can help people who can’t move at all, as well as active individuals!

June is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month. The United States Senate designated June as PTSD Awareness Month in 2013, following the 2010 designation of June 27 as National PTSD Awareness Day. The month is meant to increase awareness and spread the word about PTSD, a mental condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event

Using the “Untethered Soul” by Michael Singer, will guide our work together as we bridge the gap between Eastern and Western philosophy on emotions, habitual thoughts and the fluctuations of our inner energy.
First 45 mins is Sangha or discussion among like minded others and the second half is a yoga flow. All levels welcome. All types of yoga will be explored and all are welcome.

Expressing emotion is normal. Anger, disappointment and frustration are all normal emotions to experience. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Don’t be silenced to make some else comfortable.

The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer explores the nature of the self and how people identify with it. The book uses spiritual practices to help readers detach from their thoughts, emotions, and physical form. The goal is to help readers relax into life and gain a greater sense of ease and resilience.

We have choices with how we move and interact. Who are you? How do you want to show up? What do you want to entertain? How do you want to live your life.
I am grateful for my practice that’s been Built on mindfulness. It has been stabilizing and grounding and allows me to grasp my orientation when life suddenly changes.
To all of my teachers/gurus that have led me and those I have the honor to lead and help cultivate this practice, I am gracefully humbled and eternally thankful to have been a part of your lives.
I Spent my day with my most beloved. Mother’s Day has always been hard for me to choose the card that would fit my relationship with my mother. This year was no different. But what grows deeper inside of me each year is that I broke the cycle of abuse and spending this day with my daughters and the love they freely and openly express to me is not something I ever shared with my mother.
For those of us who haven’t had a mother, I know that sorrow.
It is not something I grieve anymore because my daughters have given me something far greater than any mother could. I know I am loved and that I am enough through the love from each of them.
This is your life. Do what makes you happy. Change the things you can and let go of the things you can’t. If there is something that you want, go get it. If you have a dream, follow it. Do not let fear hold you back. Trust your instincts and believe in yourself, you are capable of more than you think. When people tell you that you can’t, show them that you can.
There will be times when you fall, but you will stand again. Protect your heart, but recognize when to let it go. Reminisce in the good times, but always look ahead. Learn from your mistakes, but do not dwell on them. Be confident in who you are, keep your head held high, and remember that you are beautiful. Don’t be afraid to express how you feel. Cry hard, laugh harder, and when you love - love with everything you’ve got. Never settle. Find your passion. You can be whoever you want to be. There are no set rules, there is only now. This is your now.
This is your time. This is your life. And you only have one. Make it count.
