The Community Resource Opportunity Project (CROP) Foundation, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable, mentoring, and education purposes. Our group focuses primarily on raising funds to award scholarships to at-risk youth for post-secondary educational pursuits and conducts mentoring activities to support those identified students. Please consider supporting our efforts on Wednesday, November 18th for our virtual Day of Giving. Your support helps us with our annual Scholarships for high school seniors, hunger relief efforts for families in need and other social action programs throughout Hampton Roads.
On June 16, 2018, the CROP Foundation awarded our 2nd annual scholarship awards at our 1st annual prayer breakfast!! So very proud to award Ms. Dariele Norman of Deep Creek High School and Mr. Quentin Holmes of Oscar Smith High School awards for the upcoming academic year. Dariele will attend Eastern Mennonite University and Quentin will attend Virginia Tech.
We were honored to have many to attend our event recognizing the efforts of these young talented young people. Thank you to U.S. Representative Robert C. Scott and General Assemblyman Delegate Cliff Hayes for supporting our organization and being a part of our event. We also appreciate Chesapeake School Board member Dr. Patricia King and 3rd District Representative of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Brother Kevin Brown attending this event. It was a great time of community fellowship and encouragement!
