Eating out doesn’t have to derail your diet! 🍽️✨

Summer is here, and with that comes vacations, celebrations, holidays…

So here are 5 tips to enjoy your meals out while staying on track:

1️⃣ Plan Ahead:
Look up the menu online before you go. Choose restaurants that offer healthy options and decide what you will order in advance to avoid impulsive decisions.

2️⃣ Customize Your Order:
Don’t be afraid to ask for modifications. Request dressing on the side, substitute fries for a salad, or ask for grilled instead of fried options. Most restaurants are willing to accommodate dietary preferences.

3️⃣ Prioritize Protein:
Choose meals that are high in lean protein, such as grilled chicken, fish, or plant-based proteins. Protein helps keep you full and supports muscle maintenance, making it easier to stick to your diet.

4️⃣ Limit Alcohol Intake:
Alcohol can be high in calories and lower your inhibitions, leading to overeating. If you choose to drink, opt for a glass of wine or a light beer, and set a limit to avoid excessive calorie intake.

5️⃣ Watch the Sauces and Dressings:
Sauces and dressings can be high in calories and sugar. Request them on the side so you can control the amount you use, or choose healthier alternatives like vinegar-based dressings.
