Day 3 scores and Day 4 matchups! Gillette and Laramie play in an elimination game at 1 pm. Sixers and Hawks hook it up at 4 pm. Hawks must win to stay alive. If the Sixers win they will need to be beaten twice on championship Friday! Four teams remain in the Wyoming AA State Tournament, and two of them from the Post 6 family!

Between the Sixers and Hawks, Post 6 had 12 players named to the Wyoming AA All-State teams! Hawks manager, Brad Barker, was named the AA Coach of the Year! Congrats fellas!

Cheyenne Post 6 Baseball

Cheyenne Post 6 Baseball is one of the most established youth athletics programs in our community, but is almost entirely dependent on the partnership of local businesses and sponsors, without the accompanying support from school funding that most other sports can rely on. There are only two states without “formal” (school-supported) baseball programs, and Wyoming’s one of them. That means we just have to work that much harder to make ‘America’s Pastime’ accessible to the kids of our community.

Our mission is to engage Cheyenne’s youth athletes with the very best baseball program, at the highest possible competitive level. But it is equally important that our players develop the character intrinsic to the game... particularly the value of hard work, sportsmanship, good health, and active citizenship. These young people are ambassadors for Cheyenne – everywhere they go, every time they wear our logo – and that is a responsibility we all take seriously.

Baseball is a game that relies a great deal on team-work and communication, and those are life skills that we hope our players will carry forward to become proactive citizens who are confident, respectful leaders in real-world applications.

We are of Cheyenne, for Cheyenne, and ALL our players are local kids from all three triads. Cheyenne Post 6 Baseball has roots in this community that predate World War II, and we look forward to many more years of baseball here in the capital city!
