Something Good In Englewood

Something Good In Englewood, Inc. is established as a 501C-3 nonprofit organization in the state of Illinois. It is organized by Englewood residents who sought to harness the power of community organizing to advocate for valuable and beneficial community programs. Those programs include wraparound services for families, resources in workforce development, civic engagement through advocacy, and early childhood educational services to at risk and underserved children. We continue to see the organization as a critical lever toward improved educational outcomes and socioeconomic growth for all adjacent communities to the community center.

For over 70 years, Englewood strives to break cycles of economic decline and community violence. The comprised neighborhoods have experienced decreased social opportunity and increased racial segregation, and in turn, have been continually seen as a risk in our local investment landscapes. We believe that the Englewood community is powerful and can create a new view and an effective guide for community trajectory when properly resourced in key areas of social development. We aim to lift each other through education, encouragement, and positive reinforcement. We are something, we are good, and we are Englewood!
