📷 A trip to .chicago for a snack haul is always a good idea! I didn’t realize my videos were in landscape mode until I was halfway done with my snacks 😭. My fellow content creators, you feel my pain but it was too late and the show must go on!

I started with the boba ice cream, which had a strong black tea flavor with brown sugar and chewy boba bites. I almost ate half the cup and knowing I had all these other snacks to try, I controlled myself. Next came the Yawamochi Ice Dessert Cup. Chewy, creamy and addicting, this was my favorite out of this haul! The Lays chips flavored Texas Grill BBQ were flavorful and had a good touch of smokiness and sweetness. Then came the Banana Milk and it was so comforting and nostalgic. The Dango mochis were up my alley and had a subtle sweetness and savoriness to them. Next came the Double Mango Juice Pouch! This was fun to open and pour into a cup of ice(which you can get in the freezer isle) just like in Japan! The taste was equally fun and refreshing. As if I haven’t had enough to drink, I brewed some Thai Tea with some oat milk and condensed milk. This is a bang for your bucks and so good! Last was the Strawberry Flavored Yogurt drink in a baby bottle. I don’t understand the baby bottle concept but the drink was really flavorful and a delight. What would you grab for your snack haul??

Ive always loved Asian snacks. Growing up in Hong Kong, we would scour a Huge Japanese store.we would try all the new candies chips and toys

These were all snacks I've never had before, and I found them in Gangnam! Some were nostalgic & some were fun + surprising!

Few things to note :
1️⃣The Gangnam market team literally has to buy INSURANCE for the propituous mango ice cream in case they melt while being shipped over to the US 🫨

2️⃣the cantabile Korean drink pouches also include 7+ other flavors like sweet/black Americano, hazelnut coffee, strawberry, orange, banana, blueberry.

They are all not too sweet & only 120 calories each. Super refreshing with ice!

Ben & my favorite flavor was the peach iced tea

3️⃣it takes some time to peel the Amos Peelerz . I'm definitely not used to it.

You have to rip it apart from the top as the "skin" is quite thick and inside is super soft. Like a melted hichew texture.

Once you get a hang of it it's actually REALLY FUN to eat 😂 I recommend eating the inside first before the outside as the inside has all the strong mango flavor! It WILL be sticky 😜

4️⃣Gangnam market is a bit of a maze. But it's also the best Asian store , grocery, and supermarket filled with fun snacks IN CITY CENTER CHICAGO

You can find the ice, drinks, and prospituous ice cream in the freezer aisle, at the very right side when you get in (closer to checkout)

5️⃣they have limited freezer space and need to sell some propituous mango ice cream to other Asian stores in Chicago.

They also have peach and lemon yuzu flavors but I heard mango is the best! That's why I got mango 😂

📷 Finally made it over to .chicago and it was everything I wanted and more! 🙌🏻🍜🍣🧋Gangnam Market is the newest Asian grocery store/food hall to hit Chicago. You can shop for all your favorite popular Chinese, Korean, and Japanese specialty items (the snack selection is 👌🏻👌🏻) and grab a meal from the six vendors selling everything from Korean tacos to turkey ramen (a rarity in Chicago!) to bibimbap to sweet buns and bubble tea. There’s also a fab Bandai Gashapon pop-up with so many fun options — we especially loved the Hello Kitty and super cute miniature food collectibles! ➡️ Bonus: 90 minutes free parking in their attached garage (plenty of time to eat and buy all of the fun drinks & snacks 😜!).
