Sometimes, in Christian circles, one hears ideas that God is an evil judge in the Old Testament and a loving and accepting in the New Testament. Such thoughts arise from a number of errors, two of which I would like to highlight here.

The first is a misunderstanding of the anthropology (nature) of man. Scripture teaches that every person is evil by nature: “...both Jews and Gentiles have all come under the power of sin. It is written, 'There is none righteous, not one!' No one understands and no one seeks God. All have gone astray, all as one have become unfit, there is none that doeth good, there is none.” ”Their throat is an open grave, with their tongue they lie.” “Their lips are full of viper's venom.” ”Their mouths are full of curses and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; desolation and sorrow mark their path, to them the way to peace is unknown.” “There is no fear of God in their eyes.” But we know that what is said in the Law is said for those who are under the Law, which means that absolutely no one has an apology, and the whole world becomes guilty before God.” (Rom. 3:9-19)

The problem is that many Christians don't really look at the world through the lens of Scripture. Often, they look at the world through a mixture of their personal conclusions, usually dictated by the culture in which they live, and biblical teaching. Cultural ideas about human nature are usually reflected in psychology, which views man as inherently good, but “corrupted” by a corrupt society. As a result, the Christian has a patchwork mentality where he or she agrees with biblical texts on the one hand and psychology on the other, which are in fact antithetical to each other. Sometimes we also confuse integrity and goodness. A sinner may be a law-abiding citizen, but that does not make him a good person. However, once we accept the biblical view of man we realize that God owes nothing to man except the punishment for sin. The fact that God lets any man live at all is already evidence of His mercy. So, realizing that man is absolutely evil and God is absolutely holy, the only question we have is this: How has God not destroyed mankind so far? The apostle wrote about it: “The present heavens and earth, being kept by the same word, are reserved for fire for the day of judgment and destruction of wicked men. The Lord is not slow in the fulfillment of the promise, as some esteem that slowness; but is longsuffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:7, 9)

Second, we must realize that all the punishments of the Old Testament were done not only by the Father, but also by the Son and the Holy Spirit. God is one in three Persons, and therefore when one Person does something, it is in perfect harmony with the other Person. This means that all of the Old Testament punishments that were poured out by the Father were just as surely poured out by Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. When we think in this way, any separation between the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament disappears.

DOES THE SECOND LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS REFUTE THE EVOLUTIONARY DEVELOPMENT OF THE WORLD?

In simple terms, Second Law of Thermodinemics states: everything falls apart, decays in time. This is the essence of the second law of thermodynamics: chaos (entropy) in a system increases with time. Only by doing work (adding directed energy), can the decay be halted. Any non-directed energy will only destroy. For example, if you drop a bomb on a house, you will add energy to it, and this addition of energy will not organize anything in it. But if you bring bricks, mix mortar, and build another room next to it, you will add energy by doing work. However, doing any work requires a mechanism that will turn non-directed energy into useful work. In this example, that mechanism was you: you are eating and that way you receave energy, so that you can do the work.

According to the evolutionary development of the world, first there was the Big Bang, then matter spontaneously organized itself into stars, then into planets, and after a while life appeared on Earth. If you look at this whole process from the outside - it is a global process of reducing chaos in the Universe, i.e. entropy reduction. However, all we observe today is destruction - stars explode (supernovae), planets collapse, comets burn up, etc. - all these processes correspond to the second law of thermodynamics, however, the supposed self-development of the Universe completely contradicts it. Such processes do not occur independently in nature. Therefore, the very concept of random development of stars and planets, galaxy formation and galactic clusters contradicts the second law of thermodynamics.

The same applies to the supposed evolution of life on Earth. Evolutionists have tried to answer this by citing that the Sun adds energy to the Earth on a daily basis, so adding energy should solve the problem. However, as we said above: simply adding energy is destructive. It is only useful when there is a mechanism that can recycle it. Adding energy itself cannot account for the emergence of such a mechanism! If you stand in the sunlight long enough, you will get burns and possibly sunstroke. So simply adding energy without a mechanism to recycle it would be destructive, and thus the evolutionary development of the Universe contradicts the second law of thermodynamics.

AFTER THE FLOOD, DID A PAIR OF KANGAROOS HOP ALL THE WAY TO AUSTRALIA?

The Bible teaches that in the past there was a worldwide catastrophe that changed the face of the planet. Noah, his family, and land animals from each created kind were saved in the ark. When, at the end of the flood, the continents rose and the valleys sank down it formed ocean floor and the water draine from the continents, and thus modern oceans were formed. Immediately after the Flood, an ice age began, which caused much of the water to be frozen at the poles. All this water was encased in ice caps, so the level of the oceans was much lower and all the continents were connected by land. The Bering Strait area was dry land and between Asia and Australia was also dry land because the water levels were not as high as nowadays. This allowed for people and animals to move freely between continents for the first 300-400 years. All the while, the ice caps at the poles were melting witch caused water level to rise, and eventually continents were separated. Those animals that managed to cross the isthmuses developed in isolation from the others, adapting to their environment.

Another way that animals were able to get to another continent was by floating mats of logs. During the Flood, forests would have been destroyed by the tidal wave and trees ripped out by the roots and floating in the water. Localized disasters after the flood would have added to all of this. So on these mats, small marsupials were able to move between continents. For example, it is now believed by secular scientists that lemurs got to the island of Madagascar this way. Iguanas have also been observed to have migrated to the island of Anguilla in the West Indies in this way.

Floating islands have also contributed to the movement of animals between continents. Moody explains:

“In times of flood, large masses of earth and entwining vegetation, including trees, may be torn loose from the banks of rivers and swept out to sea. Sometimes such masses are encountered floating in the ocean out of sight of land, still lush and green, with palms, twenty to thirty feet [7 to 10 m] tall. It is entirely probable that land animals may be transported long distances in this manner. Mayr records that many tropical ocean currents have a speed of at least two knots; this would amount to fifty miles [80 km] a day, 1000 miles [1600 km] in three weeks.”[1]

When kangaroos, driven by predators after the flood from Noah's Ark, reached Australia, the water level rose and isolated them from the rest of the world. The same is true for other animal species that live in remote areas or have adapted to a particular food or climate. Adaptation is the process of an animal adjusting to a particular climate and is evidence of design in nature. God created animals in such a way that they are able to adapt to different climates.

FAST STALACTITES?

Volcanic eruptions during the Flood caused pollution of the atmosphere, which led to temperature drop and the ice age to begin. Oceans were warm and summers were cold. That led to fast ice accumulation at the poles. Then the climate began to stabilize and the glaciers began to melt and the humidity increased in many regions. In general, the climate after the Flood was much more humid than nowadays. When water flows into a cave, it drips from the ceiling to form a stalactite, a chemical formation hanging from the ceiling. As the water drips to the bottom of the caves, it releases certain chemical elements and stalagmites - cone-shaped formations - are formed. Today, these formations usually grow slowly, their rate of growth measured and extrapolated back in time. However, the obvious assumption here is that the rate of growth was constant. And the rate of growth in turn depends on climate. In wet climates, the growth rate increases. That is why it is important to understand what processes took place immediately after the Flood, in order to understand how stalactites and stalagmites were formed. Most of them formed in the first hundred years after the Flood, when the humidity was much higher than it is today.

Although the climate today is not as wet as it was after the Flood, there is still good evidence that it does not take hundreds of thousands of years for stalactites and stalagmites to form. In October 1953, National Geographic magazine printed a photograph of a bat that had fallen onto a stalagmite in the famous Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico. The stalagmite grew so fast that it was able to preserve the bat before the animal began to decompose.[1]

In a cave called S.P, located in Sierra Vista Cave, USA, rapid growth of stalactites was observed:

“ ... while some believe that cave decorations like the beautiful icicle stalactites from S.P. Cave are formed over long periods of time, Trout [a cave specialist with the Arizona Forest Service] states that observing stalactite growth from photographs, he has seen stalactites grow a few inches [1 inch is approximately equal to 2.5 centimeters - note] in a matter of days."[2]

Therefore, it does not take millions of years for stalactites and stalagmites to form. It requires the right conditions, which were met after the Flood, resulting in the rapid growth of these formations.

COULD GLOBAL FLOOD COVER MT. EVEREST WITH WATER AS MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE?

Person asking this question thinks that the world has always looked the same as it does today. This thinking is associated with such a concept as uniformitarianism - the assumption that modern slow processes explain today's world. This is what the apostle Peter warned against when he spoke of scoffers who claim that “for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (2 Peter 3:4). However, we should not think that the world we see has always been the same, for the Bible presents a different history of the world. The catastrophe of the Flood some 4,400 years ago changed the planet. David wrote of the waters of the flood: “the mountains went up, the valleys went down."(Ps. 104:8). At the end of the Flood, due to the movement of the continents, mountains were formed, among which was Mount Everest. Nowadays, some mountains are still slowly rising, but that doesn't mean it was always like that. When “all the fountains of the great deep broken up” (Gen. 6-7), the earth's crust split to form tectonic plates, and the movement of these plates caused mountains to rise rapidly. This explains why we find marine fossils on the tops of mountains - because the area was once under water and then, as a result of the Flood, mountains were formed. Therefore, there were no high mountains before the Flood, because they all formed at the end of a worldwide catastrophe - Noah's Flood, which lasted for a year.

WHERE DID ALL THE FLOOD WATER GO?

Genesis 7:11 reads as follows:

“In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all the springs of the great abyss opened.”

The water for the flood came from under the earth. The earth's crust cracked and the underground water, which was under tremendous pressure, burst to the surface. Since there were no high mountains before the flood, after 150 days the entire earth was covered with water. David wrote that the waters of the flood “ascend the mountains, descend into the valleys, to the place which Thou hast appointed for them” (Psalm 103:8). This passage can also be translated as: the mountains went up, the valleys went down.[1] The Bible gives us the key to understanding our past and, if we trust God's Word, we will find the answer. At the end of the Flood, some parts of the earth's surface arose and the others sank down, so the waters flowed from the continents into the ocean basins. This formed the topography we see on the planet today. The waters of the Flood are still here - in the oceans of the planet. Most of the planet is underwater, so there is enough water to flood the planet if you raise the sea floor and lower the continents to the level they were at before the Flood. Therefore, the answer lies not in the amount of water, but in the processes that took place during the Flood.

WHERE WAS THE GARDEN OF EDEN?

In the beginning God created a perfect world, but man destroyed it by disobeying Him. After a while, world became so corrupt that God, as a righteous judge, had to destroy it with a flood. The flood greatly changed the face of the planet. Huge masses of water poured out of the ground through the earth's crust, sweeping away forests and burying animals in mud and sediment, turning them into the fossils we find today. The flood lasted for a year and changed the face of the earth beyond recognition, so today we can no longer know what the topography was like before the flood or where the Garden of Eden was located. Most likely it is buried somewhere under hundreds of meters of sedimentary rock.

Some speculate that the Garden of Eden was in modern day Israel, and that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was where Golgotha was. Christ, called the last Adam in the Bible (1 Cor. 15:45), came into this world and died for the sins of mankind right where it all began. He shed His blood, conquering sin and death in the place where it entered. However, this is only a hypothesis and we do not know for sure where Eden was. What we do know for sure from the historical description in Genesis is that the Garden of Eden actually existed.

IF EVOLUTION OVER MILLIONS OF YEARS WAS THE WAY GOD CREATED, HE COULD EASILY HAVE SAID SO IN SIMPLE WORDS

Some object to biblical creation claiming that the people to whom God gave Genesis were simply uneducated and would never have understood if God had told them about the “real” and “scientific” creation of the world. In reality, none of this stands up to scrutiny. Surely God could have explained to them that it took millions of years, not 6 days, to create the world. We know that many ancient cultures believed that the world was millions of years old. For example, the Greek philosopher Anaximander (c.610-546 B.C.) wrote that “humans were originally similar to another kind of living creature, namely fish.”[1] Democritus (c.460-370 BC) taught that primitive humans first spoke with “random” and “incomprehensible” sounds, but “gradually began to speak words.”[2] Epicurus (341-270 BC) wrote that there was no need for a God or gods, since the universe came into existence from the random motions of atoms."[3] All of these evolutionary ideas were common to antient pagan cultures. If God wanted to say that He created through millions of years, He could have written that without a problem. Here is an example of what Genesis could look like:

When God began to create the heavens and the earth, he expanded a small grain of dust and said, “Let there be light.” And it eventually became so. From this grain of dust, over many great ages he formed the stars and then the sun and finally, after a long age, the earth and the moon. And the earth was hot and dry. There was no water anywhere on the earth. Slowly, God caused the seas to come forth, and from the water he formed exceedingly small creatures in the sea and he said, “Be fruitful and multiply and be slowly changed into fish and plants of the sea and creeping things and animals and plants on the land and birds in the sky.” And after thousands upon multiplied thousands of years, as numerous as the grains of sand on the seashore, it was so. But in those days there were terrors on the land and in the sky, and many also fell prey to a host of terrible plagues. Animals were eating each other, and killing with poisonous stings, and from time to time many of the creatures that God had made died and were buried and were no more. But new ones arose to take their place.

Now, open your Bible and read Genesis. Does it sound even a little similar to such text?

ATP SYNTHASE

Every cell needs energy to function. This necessary energy is produced in mitochondria by ATP synthase, which is a complex engine driven by protons.
Famous evolutionist (and communist) J.B.S. Haldane claimed in 1949 that evolution could never produce “various mechanisms, such as the wheel and magnet, which would be useless till fairly perfect.”* Now we know that life has many mechanism in it such as ATP synthase. That prooves that evolution is false religious belief, not science.

MOTORIZED BACTERIA

Bacteria are able to swim due to whip-like cords called a flagella. The flagellar motor is powered by proton flow, and closely resembles microscopic electric motors, powered by electron flow. This motor is highly efficient and can quickly stop, start, change speeds, and reach a top speed of about 100,000 rpm (revolutions per minute).* If this could be scaled up, it would be like a person of height 1.8 m (6 ft) swimming at 100 km/h (60 mph). The bacterial motor is almost 100% efficient at cruising speed. The bacterial motor is almost 100% efficient at cruising speed. Such amasing machinery is evidence of creation. God, an Almighty Engineer, created such bacteria, not evolution!
