St Giles Theatre Group are so excited to be able to open for registration from TODAY!

This year all registrations will be completed online and the deadline for this is the 19th September 2021.

All members must be between 10 - 19 years of age at registration and we kindly request that all membership fees are paid in full by bank transfer at registration too. If you have any difficulties with payment of fees or would like to pay it in instalments please contact our treasurer at [email protected] to discuss arrangements. We do also have some discretionary funds to support young people who, for financial reasons, may not be able to attend. Please contact us on the above email to discuss.

Please don’t leave it until the last minute and get those forms in. We can not wait to get started and welcome you all back to another fantastic year of St Giles Theatre Group, we’ve missed you!

I'm so, so excited to be delivering this course as part of my job with ODTC - it's been a long time in the planning and we are all super excited to launch it in September 2021. It's going to be amazing to have such an amazing Musical Theatre training course here in Moray.

UAL: University of the Arts London Level 3 (SCQF Level 6) Diploma in Performing and Production Arts course starting in September 2021! This practical course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to progress to degree level study or employment in the performing arts. Delivered by Out of the Darkness Theatre Company in partnership with Moray College UHI, there will be emphasis on the discipline of Musical Theatre, with elements of dance, singing and acting. 🎭🎤🕺

Looking for your help please, I need some suggestions for potential venues to run MTA classes from.

We have well over 100 children now registered and in order to accommodate everyone and deliver enough classes I need to find a venue that is big enough. Ideally I would like to be able to use the same space for all classes but I know this might be tricky to find so I'm also open to viewing all kinds of spaces.

Please send me your ideas in the comments below or email me direct, would love to hear from anyone that owns a space and is just looking for that perfect person to rent it (me!)

Sorry for the delay in publishing further information but I promise you LOTS of work is going on behind the scenes to get MTA ready to open it's doors safely. There have been a few things that have taken longer than expected and with the ever changing Government restrictions I just want to make sure I get everything right before opening! 🤞

I promise we are nearly ready to launch the class schedule, which will initially have a reduced number of classes to support a soft opening.

All registered students will then be emailed details on how to book and pay for classes online. If you are unable to book a place, please do not worry as you will be able to be added to a wait list which will prompt a new class to be timetabled.

She is always singing and what a voice this girl has! Sammy is super talented, full of enthusiasm and is such a hard working student. I know the kids are going to love her!

ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Scottish Government have given permission for performing arts classes to re-open as of today (yippee 🥰) however as MTA is a brand new venture, with lots of details to iron out and plans to put in place yet I have decided that I will not open until I am 100% certain I have everything ready for you all. I have given it considerable thought and I do hope you understand. I know many of you are really keen to get started and work out what days/classes you will attend but I promise it will be worth the wait. I really do hope you will all bare with me?

However, I would like to wish all my wonderful friends and colleagues who re-opened their dance studio’s, performing arts classes and Gyms today or in the coming days a massive well done, good luck and may you have a safe and successful term. You all rock! 💟☮️

It's official!

We are now allowed to open our doors to the public and will be launching in September 2020 at Out of the Darkness Theatre Company in Elgin!

At the moment there are still a huge amount of guidelines to work though and find out how best to deliver all our classes in the safest way possible so please bare with us while we do this.

Timetables are being prepared, signage is being made, MTA uniforms are being designed, equipment is being sourced and loads of ideas are being hatched!

Following Government guidelines, performing arts classes may begin teaching on or after the 12th September 2020. We will wait for confirmed details nearer the time but anticipate MTA will likely start classes from after the October school holidays 2020.
