As we close down and mourn the loss of our business, it is encouraging to see those who are just starting, thriving, and expanding at this time. Recently ChiFresh Kitchen bought some of our used equipment and it looks like they're going to be doing awesome stuff with it. https://nextcity.org/daily/entry/formerly-incarcerated-women-launch-worker-owned-food-business-covid-19

I have started writing this so many times and there is just no perfect way to say it. So, I'm just going to do it and be brief. After 15 years in business, FIG is closing our doors permanently. I know that other caterers will make different decisions and survive this, but with the tremendous hit we've already taken and the uncertainty of the future I just cannot financially or mentally do it. It is a heart-wrenching decision and one that I wish didn't happen in this manner.
I want to THANK Justin Hall for starting this wild ride with me, all of our employees and staff (you're the ones that made FIG special), the producers and farmers that we tried so hard to honor in everything we created, the venues and vendors that we worked with so closely, and, of course, all of our clients who gave us such great times and memories. There are way too many people to tag, but please know that I love all of you and wish you well through this trying time.
I will try to look at and respond to comments, but I know that's going so difficult so bear with me if it takes a while. (I was also looking for the perfect photo, but settled for this throwback shot of Justin & I when we were just babies.)

Last Saturday we were hanging around with Gluttony (and the other Deadly Sins) at Fierce Productions Fierce & Deadly Halloween Party. We think Adam from Tuan B & Co did a pretty awesome job capturing the sinfully decadent food, the general debauchery, and the crowd (you will even see one of our fearless leader if you keep scrolling. Our Story
FIG Catering doesn't aim to be the biggest, the fanciest or hippest caterer in Chicago – just the right creative, personal, service-oriented caterer to serve up good food For Intimate Gatherings of any size. No matter the guest count, intimate gatherings are about small details. You won’t remember the exact number of glasses rented, wine bottles recycled, or e-mails sent — even though we will. Flexible, too: Local or organic? Vegetarian? Gluten-free? Ethnic? Adventurous? At your service.
We offer event catering services including the food, beverage, staff, rentals, and more, in your home, office, or at a great Chicagoland venue. We customize menus so while you’ll find some sample menus on this site we don’t want you to feel like you’re limited to those options.
FIG launched in 2005 with the intention of being a company that really caters to our clients. Along the way we figured out that catering to our clients should also include catering to their environment – making responsible decisions to decrease waste, reduce our carbon footprint, and use local resources.
