Stunod's Pizzeria Chicago's newest take on pizza. Old school tradition and Chicago style toppings meets hand rolled crust.

This month makes it 5 years since we opened Stunod’s. We have done some looking back on what got us to this point. A hell of a lot has gone in to the product that you receive when you order from us. We have put a lot into our craft over the years starting before we ever opened.
For starters we grew up in the industry we are very lucky to have a father that is an encyclopedia of knowledge and sources in the pizza industry. As well as a mom who is a fantastic cook who was so happy to teach us and carry on new traditions.
Once we decided that we are going to open a pizzeria we had the likes of many family friends welcome us into their restaurants to teach us the ins and outs. Luigi, Mike, and Marion all owned extremely successful restaurants and were gracious enough to show us the ropes.
To truly feel as if we are prepared we then signed up for Pizziiolo classes in Florence Italy. Here we learned an extensive amount of history, knowledge, and the actual science behind our food. The staff really knew their stuff and definitely helped influenced the product we put out to this day.
All of these sources of knowledge have played an absolute role in our business and we can’t thank them enough.
Last but not least my brother and I have worked day in and out bettering our craft. Before opening we attended conventions, shows, I mean we were trying to be a sponge and soak up everything we could, but We lacked true experience when starting out. So when we hit the ground running we still had plenty to learn. Every aspect of our lil shop is all us. When you ask to describe our pizza we tend to have a hard time because there is few comparisons, it is very original. When people ask what marketing firm we have used we tend to laugh because that is all us. I mean down to the computer system we use I mean our best buddy programmed it for us lol. And as quickly as we had to learn all of this information we then had to learn how to teach this down to our staff. Well this is too much for an IG post but anyways yah crazy 5 years.
