On this solemn day, we remember our 343 Brothers, 1 FDNY Patrolman, 37 PAPD, 23 NYPD, 8 Private EMTs, and 2562 civilians who lost their lives at the towers. We remember those who have lost their lives due to related illnesses. We also keep in mind the more than 25,000 people injured on that day, and those still fighting the lasting effects. May We Never Forget.
Today the men and women of Engine 119, Truck 55, Ambulance 39, and Battalion 11 remember Lt. William H. Shannon of Engine 119 who died on this day in 1914. Lt Shannon died from injuries sustained when he came in contact with a power line downed during a storm that was thought to be uncharged.

Today the CFD family mourns the passing of FF/EMT MaShawn J. Plummer of Engine 94 who was injured fighting a Still and Box fire in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood. The men and women of Engine 119, Truck 55, Ambulance 39, and Battalion 11 offer our deepest condolences to MaShawn’s family, friends, and the members of Engine 94. Arraignments are pending.
