A warm welcome to the new online MSL cohort that commenced their 2024-2025 academic year with orientation this week. And, welcome back to those online students continuing their MSL studies. Here's to a great year.

The MSL’s Annual Symposium has seen many iterations since it’s 2019 launch, but this year's capstone event welcomed a new twist featuring presentations by several alumni. Thank you to this year’s participants for demonstrating how MSL alumni are using their degrees in a variety of fields, including business, finance, medical device development, AI, and more.

Twice each academic year, the MSL invites a group of industry professionals, alumni, and part-time students to speak about their professional journeys. These panels showcase how MSL grads can leverage their interdisciplinary learning and skills to achieve professional success.

Our latest Industry Associates Night introduced students to a wide range of career paths and industries, from compliance to research, venture funds and commodities, security and risk, intellectual property, and international commerce.

It's always a pleasure to recognize the achievements of our faculty! Congratulations to Professor Sarah Lawsky for earning the 2024 Martin E. and Gertrude G. Walder Award for Research Excellence at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law . 🏆

Professor Lawsky has taught federal income tax, corporate tax, partnership tax, tax policy, tax deals, and contracts. Her research focuses on tax law and on the application of formal logic and artificial intelligence to the law. The Walder Award recognizes her international impact at the intersection of law, AI, and policy.

Sarah B. Lawsky receives 2024 Walder Award Sarah B. Lawsky, Stanford Clinton Sr. and Zylpha Kilbride and Clinton Research Professor of Law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, has received the 2024 Martin E. and Gertrude G. Walder Award for Research Excellence.
