Remember that cabinet I was building like 6 months ago? Turns out we won’t be using it in our kitchen and will be selling it instead!

With most of my work being handyman tasks, getting to build something custom and learn new ways of working has felt like a treat for my soul. As I finished up putting the drawer fronts on today, I felt a touch of sadness that I won’t get to enjoy what I’ve built, but I’m incredibly proud of it as it’s most certainly the nicest build I’ve done.

Anyway… the dimensions are below if you (or someone you know) is interested.

Does black make this awning look thinner? Our original plan was to replace it all together, but a fresh paint job gives it a decent glow up!

This ugly wood rot has been an eye sore for years. A quick swap for some new material and it’s good as new!

This was a first for me - using a ladder on top of stairs to reach something that feels progressively higher as the ladder moves down the stairs. They certainly make a stair leveler to use, but for someone like me who has never had much need for one, building my own was the best option here.

Not gonna lie…this was a bit scary not knowing how well my design would hold up, but it worked like a charm and the project was a success!

New window cling on a large window will give this client all the privacy they need from their neighbors whose home is just a few feet away from theirs and could previously see into their 2nd floor with ease! This was a fun project to work on!

Loved getting to help Julia and her mom with this unusable cabinet that was falling apart. It was a quick job, but I’m so grateful for the chance to help out such wonderful people as they are getting the place ready to move.

After taking off yesterday for a fun day of hiking at Starved Rock, we were back at it today, laying new laminate flooring in our closet and office space. Daddy couldn’t have asked for a better helper!

We tried our best to get a new medicine cabinet to fit the existing opening, but we came up too wide from side to side and too short from top to bottom. What we hoped would be a quick out and in turned into a bunch of framing a drywall work (that still needs to be finished), but the work in progress of our bathroom is looking much more finished each day!

This was my second time installing blinds from , and it doesn’t get any easier! With such a great look and it being a BREEZE for install, they will continue to be my recommended brand for window coverings!

Did you know that handymen don’t just do tool heavy projects? We also love to putting together new furniture and hanging wall art and shelves!

I had the pleasure of installing a standing up desk and hanging some items on the walls for a client this week to showcase their kids’ art. As someone who also works in office job and has a daughter who is always creating something new, this one felt extra personal to me because I know first hand how much value these things will bring this family!
