Do not buy from ShopMascot or any site advertising $300-$500 costumes. They are Chinese companies selling crappy knock offs. They steal photos from legit makers and put them on their site. A basic USA made stock costume will be at least $1200 (Alinco, MaskUS) and custom mascots are $7,000+ these days, most averaging $7,500-$12,000. A suit like Sparty from Michigan State is $17,000....
