Illinois Anti-Abortion Group Calls Out Cardinal Cupich for DNC Prayer “It is incredibly disheartening to see a local church leader who once aligned himself with our cause participate in such a deeply anti-life, anti-family event as the DNC,” Illinois Right to Life president Mary Kate Zander said in a statement.

“Illinois Right to Life expressed its extreme disappointment following Chicago Archbishop Cardinal Blase Cupich’s offering the invocation at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Aug. 19, while free abortions were being provided as part of the event.

Cardinal Cupich, who previously addressed the March for Life Chicago in 2019, offered the invocation at the DNC, while Planned Parenthood had stationed a mobile “health” clinic just outside the event, providing abortions at no cost.

According to an emailed press release from Illinois Right to Life, Planned Parenthood staff reported 10 abortions were already committed by the end of the first day of the DNC.

Illinois Right to Life President Mary Kate Zander claimed in the press release that the Harris-Walz ticket is the most aggressively pro-abortion in the history of the United States. Zander highlighted the increasing hostility of the Democratic Party in Illinois toward the pro-life message.

According to Zander, the Cardinal rejected an obvious chance to “condemn their vile, murderous policies.” The Cardinal had effectively “betrayed the vibrant pro-life community that he once aligned himself with in our state,” she said.

“It is incredibly disheartening to see a local church leader who once aligned himself with our cause participate in such a deeply anti-life, anti-family event as the DNC,” Zander stated.”

ILLINOIS RIGHT TO LIFE RESPONDS TO INVOCATION BY CARDINAL CUPICH AT THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION

(CHICAGO, IL) - - On Monday, August 19, Chicago Archbishop Cardinal Blase Cupich, who addressed the March for Life Chicago in 2019, offered the invocation at the Democratic National Convention while free abortions were being provided just outside its doors.

“It is incredibly disheartening to see a local church leader who once aligned himself with our cause participate in such a deeply anti-life, anti-family event as the DNC,” said Illinois Right to Life President Mary Kate Zander. “The Harris-Walz ticket is the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in U.S. history – and the Democratic party, particularly in Illinois, is more anti-life than it has ever been before. Cardinal Cupich missed a clear opportunity last night to condemn their vile, murderous policies and, in effect, betrayed the vibrant pro-life community that he once aligned himself with in our state.”

Cardinal Cupich has a history of toeing the line when it comes to the issue of abortion, particularly inside of his own Archdiocese where abortion numbers continue to rise.

In January, the Chicago Tribune reported a 49% spike in the number of women traveling into Illinois to receive abortions since the overturn of Roe v. Wade in 2022.

And according to the Illinois Department of Public Health, 13,809 abortions were performed in Cupich’s Chicago – nearly 1/3rd of all abortions performed in the state that year. These numbers are not representative of the dramatic increase that the state – and Chicago – have seen in more recent months.

On Tuesday morning, Planned Parenthood staff reported that ten free abortions were provided during day 1 of DNC proceedings.

“Christians are being prevented from their good work, especially in adoption-related situations. In the past two years, two families in Vermont, who had both previously adopted, were refused additional children because of their religious beliefs. The state revoked the foster care licenses of Bryan and Rebecca Gantt and Brian and Katy Wuoti after new policies regarding sexual orientation, gender ideology, and gender expression were implemented. The Alliance Defending Freedom has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court of Vermont on their behalf.

Even worse, Vermont banned these two loving (and licensed) families, despite the growing number of children without a home in the state system. According to ADF, Vermont’s Department for Children and Families has placed children with unlicensed families, in hospitals, and in police stations to temporarily address the need.

Other states, including Washington, Oregon, and Massachusetts have passed similar policies. And, as of July 1, federal agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Administration for Children and Families, implemented new policies for all state-run foster care programs. Advocates claim these changes provide “safe and proper care” for children by ensuring their safety “from harassment, mistreatment, and abuse.” Specifically, the new rules require states to support a child’s “self-identified sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression,” and provide access to resources that support their health and wellbeing. This means that foster parents would be required to ensure access to “affirming” mental health providers and “gender-affirming care” such as puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical procedures.”

Abortion is not a cure.

“Five newly-released undercover videos show Texas-based Planned Parenthood abortionists describing how they abort late-term babies alive and then dismember them to avoid the federal partial-birth abortion law and then sell the baby body parts for profit. Liberty Counsel’s client Sandra Merritt, and David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress, filmed the videos in 2015 during an undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood.

Then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris investigated and charged Merritt and Daleiden while the videos were blocked from public release by a court order. The videos have now been released after a congressional subpoena cleared the way for public viewing.

In March 2024, a U.S. Congressional panel held an independent hearing for the purpose of “investigating the black market of baby organ harvesting” through abortion. During the hearing, independent investigator David Daleiden presented graphic videos and testimony on how the “industrial-scale abortion business” brokers lucrative deals for fetal organs taken from live babies by dismembering viable babies in utero to “skirt” partial-birth abortion laws. On July 30, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who chaired the panel, released the full versions of the subpoenaed videos.

The videos reveal two conversations between undercover reporters and Planned Parenthood officials at the 2015 National Abortion Federation commercial trade show. In one video, Dr. Ann Schutt-Aine, the Chief Medical Officer of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, explained how to keep baby body parts intact while avoiding violating partial birth abortion (PBA) law, which prohibits killing a baby if any part of its body below the navel is outside the mother’s body.

Dr. Schutt-Aine explains, “If I’m doing a procedure, and I’m seeing that I’m in fear that it’s about to come to the umbilicus [navel], I might ask for a second set of forceps to hold the body at the cervix and pull off a leg or two, so it’s not PBA.”

“Joe Biden has put another pro-life American in prison for protesting abortion – this time putting a young mother in federal prison for more than three years for preaching outside an abortion center.

Bevelyn Beatty Williams, a 33-year-old mom of a 2-year-old daughter, received a sentence this week of three years and give months in prison.

Williams was charged with violating the FACE Act, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Williams faces an additional charge of violating the FACE Act through force, which carries up to 10 years.

For the nearly three decades since FACE was enacted in 1994, it has rarely been used to prosecute life advocates. Yet in 2022 alone, under the Biden/Garland DOJ, there have been at least 22 peaceful pro-life activists indicted under the act — with the first case involving pro-life advocate Mark Houck, whose family was raided after an altercation at a Philadelphia abortion business last year where he accidentally pushed down a man who was verbally accosting his 12-year-old son.”

President Biden drops out of the 2024 presidential race.

He has announced he endorses pro-abortion Kamala Harris as his replacement.

This is dangerous for the pro-life Americans because Harris has extreme abortion beliefs. This would be catastrophic for the pre-born in America.

“Vance has spoken openly and bluntly about abortion, and he doesn’t mince words. In 2022, he said that he would support a 15-week nationwide abortion ban when Sen. Lindsey Graham proposed a bill to do so. During an interview the previous year, Vance had even come out against exceptions for r**e or in**st, which so many well-meaning Republicans get behind. “I think two wrongs don’t make a right,” he told Spectrum News 1 in an interview.

When Ohio passed a constitutional amendment protecting abortion in the state, Vance released a statement on X that concluded, “There is something sociopathic about a political movement that tells young women (and men) that it is liberating to murder their own children.”

Great. We have a pro-life vice presidential candidate. Right? Well. Maybe.

Earlier this month, Vance gave an interview to ABC’s Meet the Press during which host Kristen Welker grilled him on Project 2025 and the recent U.S. Supreme Court case dealing with mifepristone, the drug frequently used to end unborn children’s lives. First, he made this seemingly ill-informed comment: “The Supreme Court made a decision saying that the American people should have access to that medication [mifepristone], Donald Trump has supported that opinion, I support that opinion. I think it is important to say that we actually have to have an important conversation in this country about what our abortion policy should be.”

But then Welker pressed him on it and asked if he supported “mifepristone being accessible.” Vance replied: “Yes, Kristen, I do,” before redirecting the conversation to Project 2025.”

“Another pro-life group has condemned the U.S. Army for its presentation calling pro-life Ameicans terrorists.

As LifeNews.com reported, Journalist Sam Shoemate exposed the terrorism briefing on X (Twitter) that was held at Fort Liberty (Bragg) where they listed several Pro-Life organizations as “terrorist organizations.”

The slide was clearly offensive to the majority of Americans who are pro-life and a pro-life group depicted in it has condemned it.

Now, Operation Rescue, which was also included in the terrorism slide, has condemned it.

“The person who created the slide was obviously uninformed and could not even manage to correctly spell the word Roe,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. Fort Liberty was extremely irresponsible to allow this nonsense into its training material. It’s absurd when you consider that we are like-minded in our work. We are all working to save innocent lives. Our fight, which, of course, is done through peaceful, legal means, just starts earlier – from the moment of conception.”
