Beautiful bookstores and libraries in Italy: The library "Biblioteca comunale Giosue' Carducci" is a public library located in Palazzo Mauri in the historic city of Spoleto, Italy. The Palazzo Mauri was restored and the library reopened in 2009 after suffering damages from earthquakes in 1979 and 1997. Originally established in 1810, the current library encompasses over 22,000 sq.ft. and has a collection of over 110,000 volumes.

Beautiful bookstores and libraries in Italy: The Literary Train - with the slogan "Every book is a voyage", a dedicated subway train on Rome's A-line subway system is being used to highlight the importance of reading. A collaboration of RAI-Direzione Comunicazione, CEPELL and ATAC, the train will be running its route for three weeks. This promotion coincides with Italy as the country of honor at the prestigious Frankfurt Book Fair this year.
