David Crowhurst’s new book Stellas Daemonum is a vital sourcebook and essential addition to the practicing Magician and Exorcist’s occult library. This tome is crucial in having a better understanding of the hierarchy of daemons from the Ruling Triad of Lucifer, Belzebuth and Satan, down to the lowest of daemons at your summoning disposal.

The Stellas Daemonum is arranged in such a manner that it is easy for the Magician or Exorcist to thumb through the pages at a moment’s notice and find the daemon in question for better comprehension of the nature of said daemon, it’s etymological roots in Hebrew, Greek and Latin as well as similarities with names found in other tomes such as The Book of Offices, Les Livre de Espirit, the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum and others. From there Crowhurst delves into the powers of said daemon in regards to its astrological placement in the cosmos and the significance of its gruesome visage which are symbols of the daemon’s powers and attributes. Finally, the entry for any said daemon concludes with the best day and time to summon the spirit in accordance to astrological influences.

What are especially helpful to the Magician and Exorcist are the first three chapters of the Stellas Daemonum which give a crash course or refresher to the reader regarding the celestial nature of daemons, their terrestrial manifestations and the “Seven Chiefs” who rule the underworld and the hierarchy of the daemons as found in the Goetia or Lemegeton. These three chapters are very insightful and encourage the Magician and Exorcist to undergo a new magickal operation with the daemons of Goetia with the confidence in acquiring newfound knowledge to insure success in his/her conjuration.

As a practicing Ceremonial Magician, myself, I recommend the Magician and Exorcist to read the Stellas Daemonum in its entirety from beginning to end and later utilize the tome as a resource in researching your upcoming magickal operation or experiment. From my experience, this book will enlighten the mind, stir the imagination and inflame passion to such a degree that the aspirant will feel an urgency to begin a new magickal operation or experiment immediately with the exhilarating rush of apprehension.

Finally, the appendix is concise and resourceful for comparing the powers and influences of the daemons found in the Goetia and other tomes used for reference. The Stellas Daemonum by David Crowhurst is a wonderful sourcebook for all your magickal endeavors in a daemonic sense and its gorgeous binding will beautifully accentuate the Magician and Exorcist’s library; I highly recommend this insightful tome from Red Wheel/Weiser Books that will be available for purchase on November 1st, 2021 e.v.

Beastly Beach BBQ is back baby! 😎

At long last we held a mass again! It was a wonderful weekend hanging out with my brothers and sisters whom I haven't seen since this pandemic started. We had a nice backyard campout complete with barbeque and bonfires and caught up with dear friends. And the mass, I knew I missed the Gnostic Mass, but I didn't realize just how much I missed it until we were finally doing it again. We were even blessed with a new Stele of Revealing! Thank you Amy Moore, it's absolutely beautiful and we broke it in with this very mass. I would like to thank out Priest and Priestess for coming all the way from Michigan to conduct the ceremony and I would also like to thank our hosts, for putting up with us while we convert their backyard into a temple space. Don't worry, everyone who isn't wearing a mask in the following photos has been fully vaccinated and we kept with safety protocol. This weekend was a great success and it felt so good congregating again as a Thelemic community and celebrate the Gnostic Mass. I look forward to our next outdoor event.
