On the last day of AAPI Heritage Month, we’re reliving We Run Chinatown 2024 to celebrate an amazing month of uplifting our AAPI communities and the members who make up the heart of our vibrant Chinatown! 💗 Thanks to YOU, we raised over $4️⃣6️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ to support our youth for the upcoming school year!
We are shocked to see the Parent Mentor line at $14M. This would be a cut of 32 schools and the whole Ladders initiative. Please keep working to ensure the budget includes $22.5M total -- $20M for the Parent Mentor Program and $2.5M for Ladders.
We know we have some incredible champions in the state legislature working around the clock in Springfield to fight for Parent Mentor funding. Our schools deserve to have community members like Parent Mentors so our students can get the care and love they deserve!
