Presenting to you our 2021 Thanksgiving inspired Menu featuring delectable Indian and Fall-inspired favorites.

This year’s menu features a variety of shared appetizers and sides and the Murgh or Vegetable Yakhni Pulao as the star dish. The appetizers and sides are available frozen as well in case you’d like to add them to your own Thanksgiving feast on the Day itself. Instructions will be provided to cook, bake or fry at home.

The weeks that kept us on our toes - it all came together last Friday! This was our first Pre-Wedding Dinner for about 100 people and we couldn’t be happier that it was enjoyed by one and all! It literally takes a village and we wanted to thank everyone who went above and beyond in helping us out so much! .sugardaddy and my kitchen assistant, Luis!!
It was a fun fusion menu that included several appetizers, biryanis and pulaos, and a dessert station. Here is what we had on the menu:

Beating the Monday blues with some pink!

Introducing Rose 🌹 Tres Leches, a refreshing addition to our summer dessert cakes. Since the beginning of summer, we’ve been dreaming of creating something light, bright and floral. This rose scented tres leches checks all the boxes and the blush pink marble hues inside the cake sans any food coloring is simply to die for.
We’re obsessed!

Mango is the only fruit that makes me yearn for a time machine to take me back into my childhood.
I vividly remember summer months spent enjoying a bowl full of ice-cold mangoes 🥭 after dinner, buying mango-duet🍦every chance I got when I went out with family or friends, licking the frothy moustache after drinking a glassful of refreshing mango shake, and so much more.
Cheesecakes in India became popular much later and once I started to make them, I have absolutely enjoyed making them with this most delicious of tropical fruits.
Thanks for all your votes and motivating me to make this sweet summer delight.

I’m speechless after seeing this absolutely gorgeous ✨illustration by of the Suryakala ☀️, my entry to the ‘s Bakers Box Vol. 3 - Chicago.

I’m super thrilled to make 100 of these next week but can hardly wait to see the Baker’s Box come all together. Each Baker’s Box will contain a total of eighteen exclusive pastries 🥮 made by myself and seventeen other extremely talented Chicago-based chefs of Asian American and Pacific Islands origin and I’m so thrilled to be meeting them all in person next week. Please do check them and their amazing work out. 💝

From today’s menu: Chili Garlic Shrimp with Vegetable Quinoa Thoran and Coconut Kaffir Lime Sauce

This recipe has a heavy influence from coastal Indian Malabar cuisine. The shrimp has a little kick 🌶 but the delicate flavors of coconut and kaffir lime balance it beautifully. I paired the protein here with a healthy side of vegetable and quinoa thoran.

Today has been an incredible day! Good wishes have been pouring in since featured my story this morning followed by yesterday’s review.

I’m humbled 🙏🏼 and honored to be featured during the AAPI Heritage Month, and while I ask you to join in celebrating and honoring AAPI cultures and their contributions, I also ask that we advocate for their safety and equity.

It’s quite surreal to see my labor of love being appreciated by one of the most profound restaurant recommendation website and guide, the Infatuation, and for this all I can say is THANK YOU to each and everyone - you all have played such an important role! From my family being my pillars of strength to each and everyone who tried us out, love and support us, and come back again and again. And believe me that all the texts and DMs about how much the food was loved - always makes me smile the widest.

I miss my dad on occasions like these and hope that his little girl is making him proud. Papa, I know you’re watching me from above and sending me your blessings. Thanks for always believing in me. 🙏🏼💕

Butter chicken for breakfast/brunch anyone? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Butter chicken leftovers from previous night’s dinner 🥘 for breakfast with a hot naan or slice of bread that we used to devour as kids was our inspiration behind this version of the popular Chicken 🍗 and Waffles 🧇 brunch staple.

Make way for Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan Waffles, or shall we call it ‘Naaffles’.

The garlic naan waffle is topped with crisp fried chicken tikka, generous pour of makhani sauce, mint raita drizzle, pickled pearl onions, and micro greens.

Treat all the mums in your life with our debut brunch special as this will be on our Mother’s Day weekend menu for next Saturday.

Until a couple of years ago, I could not imagine cooking Naan without a tandoor oven. After trying a number of recipes and failed attempts, I finally got it right.

This 🫓 is cooked on the tawa and then charred directly on the gas stove. Result is the same pillowy soft bread that is irresistible either on its own with a generous dollop of butter (or garlic butter) or as a mop to a delicious curry.

Introducing Butter Naan for the first time on our pickup/delivery menu this Friday.

On Baisakhi, the tradition in our family is to cook something yellow 💛. It would usually be Kadhi and then something sweet such as saffron rice pudding or moong dal (yellow lentil) halwa.
Since our kiddos are so fond of Indian desserts especially halwa and ladoos, we celebrated the Hindu solar new year and spring harvest festival with bowls of steaming hot and delicious moong dal halwa. Our little halwa lovers were all over these.

Wishing you all bright and joyous celebrations of the festival, whichever region of India you are celebrating in.

Hello Everyone! We’re back from Spring Break, and next Friday (April 16) we’re celebrating the springtime harvest festival of Baisakhi (aka Vaisakhi) with lip smacking flavors of Punjab. We’re bringing back the beloved Sarson ka Saag 🥬 and Makke 🌽ki Roti, and Balti Meat 🥘. Also featuring our delicious vegetable shaami kebab sliders 🍔 and for the first time ever on our menu - the flavor-packed dahiwale baingan 🍆 and mango 🥭 phirni or rice 🍚pudding.

Sharing a glimpse of these custom designed and handcrafted Baby Shower favor boxes and goodies we made for the friends and family of a very special couple and parents-to-be.

So happy to have been able to put together something unique, traditional, yet full of freshness and flavor.

Each favor box included two jars - one of cranberry & orange Panjiri, and the other of Achaar stuffed Mathri.

The Panjiri is our version of the traditional Indian granola mix where we also added roasted oats, wholesome nuts, sweet and slightly tart cranberries and candied orange. Due to its nutrition rich ingredients, it’s an essential diet supplement for new moms, and for anyone looking to get a tasty boost of energy and replenishment during the day. Yes, snacking can be both delicious and nourishing at the same time.

The Mathri is a popular tea time snack and usually enjoyed with a dollop of Indian pickles. Ours combines the two into one hand-rolled mathri stuffed with mango pickle, lending an amazing flavor and surprise in every bite!

We’re told that these were a huge hit and we’re quite inspired to expand on this and make them available for preordering and even shipping. So stay tuned!

Samosa was always a special treat for me growing up. We would usually get them when there were guests at home or it was one of those days when the family was craving for hot samosas with their afternoon chai.

At our home, the samosas would always come packed from the local vendor, who everyone referred to as ‘Panditji’ - a simple man who made his living by selling samosas and his were truly, to die for.

When I started making these a few years ago, I wanted to recreate the taste of samosas that Panditji made. Just the humble ingredients and easy on the masalas, but neatly folded and tightly packed with so much deliciousness. The process of making these require multiple meticulous steps but then one bite into that flaky savory goodness followed by soft mushy explosion of flavors, and it’s all worth it! My ode to Panditji’s samosas are on the menu this Friday. 😊

We have two starters: Paneer Pakora Pav (our take on the traditional Bombay Vada Pav) - perfect with your evening tea or coffee, and Chicken 65 - crispy Indian chicken nuggets with a kick.

For main course, I’ll be cooking one of my mom’s specialty - mutton kofta (meatball) curry, methi malai paneer, and house black dal. All mains come with 12 oz side of peas pulav.

And due to high demand, we’re bringing back the Ras Malai Tres Leches.

Who’s ready for some Indo-Chinese this Friday?
I’m visualizing some eyes widening, some hands going up in the air, and screaming, “Me, me, me”. If you’re anything like me, I can totally relate to it as I would leave everything I’m doing if I smell or see some Indo-Chinese food.
Indo-Chinese is sour, it’s spicy, and the kind of Indian fusion food that is wildly popular back in India and is packed with bold flavors mixing Chinese spices with traditional Indian ingredients such as ginger, garlic, and chili peppers.
