At Український католицький університет UCuniversity, education is all about preparing students for the real world by equipping them with practical skills that can be applied to real work demands. And that's exactly what our partnership with GO TO-U Ukraine is all about! 🤝

As the first digital experience platform for e-mobility, GO TO-U is an amazing company based in Lviv, with users all around the world. Our students will be guided by both Eleks mentors and GO TO-U experts as they dive headfirst into the full Product Design Phase, ultimately presenting their final projects to the world.

We have exciting news! Our colleague Eugene Shykiriavyi, Design Manager (Eleks Design), is an invited guest of the web accessibility course by Diia.Digital education platform (Дія.Цифрова освіта). The course consists of 10 lessons, each lasting up to 15 minutes.

💻 The series teaches the basic principles for making web content accessible so that it can be used by as many users as possible — including people with visual impairments.

Dmytro Popov, director of LLC "Digital Accessibility Lab," and author of the methodology for checking the basic accessibility of web resources for civil servants, and Alla Oliinyk, state expert of the National Agency of Ukraine on the Civil Service, are invited guests of the course too.

Eugene Shykiriavyi, our design manager at ELEKS, co-author of the course "Inclusive Design of Graphical Interfaces" on the Prjctr platform, and co-author of the official translation of WCAG 2.1 into Ukrainian became one of the "main characters" of the educational series for "Diya: Digital Education."

Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation has presented a new online course for civil servants on web accessibility. The series teaches the basic principles for making web content accessible so that it can be used by as many users as possible – including people with visual impairments.

The course was developed with the support of the “Digital, Inclusive, Accessible: Support to Digitalisation of Public Services in Ukraine” project (DIA Support project), which is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine with funding from Sweden, at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine for the Diia.Digital education platform.

The course can be completed free of charge on the Diia.Digital education portal. The course consists of a series of 10 lessons each lasting up to 15 minutes. They introduce the basic concepts and principles of accessibility, such as: assistive technologies used by blind people on the Internet, color and contrast, text structure and semantics, and tips on how to create understandable texts and how to test the accessibility of a site or mobile application.
