Friends of the Chicago River's Autumn Cruise is coming up in just a few weeks! This fun, evening cruise supports all operational costs of our McCormick Bridgehouse and Chicago River Museum which educates over 30,000 people every year.

Today is an "Overflow Action Day." Rain storms are on the way. Please take action to help protect your community from basement backups and combined sewer overflows by reducing your water use. Combined sewer overflows release untreated or partially treated wastewater into the river system.
Here are three easy ways that you can help reduce the amount of water in the sewer system:
· Delay showers and baths
· Flush less frequently
· Wait to run the dishwasher or washing machine

Last weekend we beat the heat (and the cicadas) at our company picnic at Schiller Park cohosted with Windy City Fieldhouse. Coworkers and their families came out to enjoy the cookout and spend time together playing volleyball, Bozo buckets, and of course good midwestern co****le.
