Global health champion Dr. Paul Farmer has died Known for his efforts to improve global health and as the founder of the nonprofit health organization Partners in Health, Farmer died in Rwanda at age 62.

As per Governor Pritzker's order to allow qualified foreign medical graduates to practice medicine in Illinois, the IL Department of Financial and Professional Regulation approved the process and started taking applications.

Please note: You need to be ECFMG Certified and need to have passed Steps 1, 2 CK and Step 3 (the form says nothing about Step 2 CS, the OET or other pathways). It does not ask if you are permitted to be employed in the US. This is solely for obtaining a license to practice medicine.
