Liv is now entering a new era in life with this cut 🥹 isn’t it crazy how much a haircut can really change the overall vibe?

We DEFF said we weren’t ready for it but SOMETIMES we just need to take it slow while the vision comes to life.

Our goal with the heart shape was to have a fun, playful shape that could be worn in all forms! Fluffed out and slept on but still look fire.

We left some longer curls around the hairline to add some extra jazz cause we are not boring with this cut OKAY!!!!

UM I made my friends curly/wavy hair LONGER!

Dear curlies-I’m working hard on nailing down handtied curly extensions.

I’m low key…in AWE of watching my friends hair change…let alone the curls/waves look so natural.

This was also my first color match 🥹 I’m livingggg.

Light reshape and weight removal for this babe. This cut will last her about 3-5 months while she grows out her previous color.

If you like your waves at their FULL potential…

Gels, products with hold, & diffusing are non negotiable. Just sayin!!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

We left these waves with a light cast so she could get multiple days out of her curl pattern. Over a couple of days the curls will stretch out because that’s what they naturally do.

The haircut DEFF helps the shape and waves bounce up a lil more too ✨

I love how big she wears her curls!! Styled using Innersense curl memory layered with I create hold AND foam.

NEW BEGINNINGS ! This is the first step towards growing out old damaged curls.

Curls that are damaged by heat or (in this case) chemicals (like lightener) are extremely unpredictable.

We LOVED these results from this curly cut and I’m reallly looking forward to watching her curls transform over the next year+.

Having a specialist by your side while transitioning curl damage is extremely helpful. We’re there for the ups, the downs, and the in-between. Allowing for a little bit of an extra shield when you’re feeling in doubt.

TIPS FOR CUTTING CURLS/WAVES ON WET HAIR ⬇️

Yes it can be done to get specific results. Yes..I’m very aware of a few key things when I take this approach as a curl specialist.

✨ IT WILL SHRINT UP. IT WILL SHRINK UP . IT WILL SHRINK UP. At every single moment I’m cutting curly/wavy hair wet I am thinking about how it will shrink up when it dries in its natural state.

✨After my haircut I have to RE-WET the hair to apply products properly! I’m not throwing Gel into hair that’s somewhat dry. I won’t get realistic results.

✨ It’s not the tool that shreds someone’s hair it’s the person holding it 🌞 For this cut I used a combo of feather and my straight razor. It allows me to carve the curls out for added texture, remove weight to shrink the curls inwards, AND speeds up my timing. My choice of tool will always assist me in desired results & timing.

Get a haircut that can do both 🥵🥵

This haircut can be styled in so many different ways. Some more masc & some more femme. Whatever they’re feeling is gunna be the style .

Tbh I wasn’t really loving the previous diamond shape for this babe. So we switched it to curly frenchy bob. With soft layering and some curly framing to add longevity.

She mentioned not being afraid of going shorter (like at all) so I didn’t let anything hold me back from finding the perfect length.

🚨First curly haircut ever!

It is wild how much a haircut can completely transform a person.

15 years ago this babe had a pretty traumatizing haircut experience which lead her to stay “safe” with her haircuts. Along with getting haircuts that were styled straight.

We took about 5 inches of length off and a wholllleeee lotttttaaaa weight out. Which allows the curls and waves to bounce up and inwards for effortless volume.

I’ll say I think this is a timeless haircut that keeps on giving. It’s great for someone wanting change without taking off length.

Curly cut shape up 😮‍💨 **styled with my new fav combo!

Styled using I create volume and I create definition.

Instead of layering I styled by mixing the two together. With my portion being around 1/4th of the Definition foam to Volume lotion.

Not too sure if we’ll use this combo in winter but I loveeee it for Chicago summers!

For these beautiful curls we decided to add more layers than normal WITHOUT the curly bang!! I love how it turned out.

We styled these naturally gray curls using I create volume and I create definition by .

I also did a lil mix if powder MIXED with the whipped texturizer (can also use hairbalm) to add texture on the ends.

BUT sculpt will still go on and fkn slay. I can’t express how much thought went into choosing these top artist to come to chicago. Each and everyone one of them have so much to share alongside our amazing sponsors.

2 years ago I had no idea I would be where I’m at. I’m FINALLY feeling like I’m getting out of survival mode. These past (almost) 3 years have been a series of up’s and downs. Which all lead to where I’m at now. A fkn baller bathroom in my salon 🤣. In March 2020 I had a bob, lived in Oakland, didn’t have a cat, and was so unsure of what was next for me. With every new step I take I have reminded myself to be kind to ME! Things don’t happen over night…but holy F….I’ve done a lot in 2 years. Thankful for what’s next. Thankful for the team. I am finally finding my groove again. Ily all A LOT.

Jaylin loves her curls fluffed out to the max with minimal definition. I generally start with a strong curl cast using I create volume and the smoooolllest bit of smoothing cream. This allows me to start with a cast, adjust any curls I need too post style, then fluff her hair out without loosing all the definition! Thanks for your trust always ❤️
