Local Goods Chicago is hosting a fundraiser to support Dress for Success Greater Chicago. On Sunday, June 30th when you shop at the Edgebrook store from 11am-3pm, 20% of the proceeds will go to help local women who are unemployed or underemployed.

Dress for Success Greater Chicago is a nonprofit that provides networking, services and clothing to support women on their journey to economic independence. Many of these women are single mothers, meaning your donation could help change the trajectory for their entire family.

Local resident Laura Guenther founded Local Goods Chicago in 2012 for the community to have a new spot to visit and buy unique items. The artisan lab also provides small businesses a space where they can share and sell their creations. You will find items like woodwork, furniture, paintings, coasters, cards, candles, jewelry, games and much more. If you want a Chicago-centric good, a little something special for yourself or a thoughtful gift, you’ve found the right place.

During the fundraiser day, raffle tickets will be sold to win items on display, created by the featured local artisans. Guest artist Teri Zeidel of Hinsdale will be selling her artwork as well. Free wine and hard kombucha provided by Luna Bay Booch will be served.

The Everyday Edgebrook Art Fair and Sidewalk Sale will be held on 7/20 from 1-6 pm outside. Everyday Edgebrook has applied for the permit for the sidewalk sale as well as hosting music, food and beer vendors in the Associated Bank parking lot. Free events for kids will be set up throughout the business district.
