All you need is curiosity and a set of ears! We'll dive into sound and frequency (pitch), intervals, scales, harmony, and classical music dissection with sheet music and performances.

Every 3rd Friday we have an open studio for you to work on your projects, get feedback, use our sewing machines, vinyl & laser cuter + more. Feel free to come by just to hang out and be inspired too. Join us at 11:00am Central for a live stream of the October 14, 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse (11:28am Central), brought to you by the SouthSide Hackerspace: Chicago (SSH:C) and Nationwide Eclipse Ballooning Project (NEBP). Today we will be launching a weather balloon, scientific equipment, and cameras into the stratosphere to observe and record the Annular Solar Eclipse.

During the live stream, we'll share live views from two onboard 180-degree cameras, showcasing 360-degree wonders of the upper atmosphere. Please note that intermittent signal loss to the camera system may occur, but we're dedicated to maintaining a stable connection. Additional video from an onboard 360-degree camera will be available on our channel after the balloon's payload returns to Earth and is retrieved.

The Stick Up! Chicago is coming to the Southside Hackerspace on Thursday, March 30th, from 6pm to 9pm. Join us to hand-draw some stickers and check out our space.
