It's hard to say goodbye to the barbell compound, but I believe everyone should get a chance to hear what has happened. I will be closing the gym doors as of tonight, and they will be for good. When I first opened my gym, I had no clue what I was doing, I was just a young kid trying to make it happen. I had just a dream and a mindset, of making the greatest gym ever. That dream came true, and the barbell compound was born. As many people know my gym was originally called chicago style fitness, It was a cute, fluffy, 5500 sq ft place where people had the basics. It began building the family of the barbell compound. And I used the word family, because I tried my best totreat everyone like they were family. If you knew me, before this post,you would of known i'd give you the tshirt off my back or the preworkout in my cup if you wanted it. Money wasn't what I was chasing. My dream was to have the greatest gym to ever open, maybe in some people's minds, they'd think it's just a collection a metal, but that collection of metal has seen so many great athletes. Athletes like Kevin McHuge, Sergio Olivia Jr, and I could sit and name a whole bunch others, but we don't have the time for that. I did everything I could do make people happy, but in the end I wasn't truly happy.

Business is very interesting thing, that most people are unaware. You no longer get to put yourself first, and you have to do anything you can to make sure others are happy. This area is too small, we make it bigger, there isn't enough cardio, we get more, the list goes on and on, unfortunately at the end of the day, the numbers just didn't work. I'm not going to blame anyone for the closing of my business, but I have to say thank you for all the people who supported my dream, and the barbell compound.

It has been a fun ride, and I hope you always remember I wanted you to be the best, that's why I created my gym.

Today we will be closing the gym for the week. We will be remodeling of the gym for the fall season. All keycards will be shut off, and members will not have access to the gym. If you have not updated your credit card, this will be the time to do it.

We will be closed from August 29th to September 5th.

Updates of the gym: 1080p will be on sale for 14.99 till it's sold out.

All our cable machines will be repaired saturday.

And lastly, we may throw a fun event at the gym. More details coming soon.

We have 2 squat racks for sale, tag a friend if they are interested. One is cut a little shorter than the other, and one has to be welded. But both are built like a tank. 200 per rack. Tag a friend who is need of some bigger legs.

This weekend the barbell compound will be invading the chicago fit expo.
3 of our big boys will be competing in the powerlifting events.
