22 runners, 26.2 miles, and over $60,000 raised for The Andrew Weishar Foundation. đź’™
The 2024 Chicago Marathon was one for the books! To our runners, your commitment to yourself and your training on top of your selflessness in helping us pay it forward is awe-inspiring. To our volunteers, your motivation and dedication to being the best cheerleaders and hydration stations make the marathon that much more special. Lastly, to everyone who came out to cheer on our runners, we are so beyond lucky to be surrounding by such a supportive community.
Who will we be cheering on in 2025?
Our why, our guiding light, our namesake.
Andrew Weishar passed peacefully on October 12, 2012 after an inspirational battle with colorectal cancer. His dying wish was to “pay it forward,” and from there The Andrew Weishar Foundation was born. His selflessness and kindness lives on through each and every one of us.
Today is an annual reminder of not only Andrew, but his legacy, & the spark behind the Weish4Ever community.
We are grateful to be able to day in and day out with this community.
We love you 4ever, Andrew. đź’™
October is . Did you know breast cancer is one of the most common cancer diagnoses for women within the adolescent and young adult community?
For those given this diagnosis, navigating this diagnosis can bring unique challenges, but it also shows us the power of resilience, hope, and community.
Let's continue to be advocates, raise awareness, and support early detection, treatment, and research—because every life is worth the fight. 💗
It’s with heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of beneficiary Joel M.
We had the honor of welcoming Joel and his family in May of 2023. Joel's legacy of strength, perseverance, and selflessness will continue to live on each and every day through his family, friends, wife, and two sons.
Our hearts are with all those who loved Joel dearly. đź’™
Over the weekend, alongside the Golic Family Foundation and some University of Notre Dame Football (past and present!), we were able to give Alexandra the warmest welcome into the Weish4Ever family.
Truly such a special moment, and we couldn't be more honored to have Alexandra officially a part of the Weish4Ever crew. A special thanks to the Golic Family Foundation their help in paying it forward.
We are so honored to be able to pay it forward together with The Golic Family Foundation. Thank you to WNDU, Christine, and Mike Golic for giving us this opportunity. This is truly just the start of greater things to come with the support of these amazing communities.

An absolutely incredible night thanks to Nicky Lopez, the Chicago White Sox, and Chicago White Sox Charities.
Thanks to all those who supported the Nicky Lopez Charity Classic over the summer, we welcomed Chris into the Weish4Ever family. Chris is a 30-year-old battling Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma who loves spending time with his 4-year-old daughter and watching her grow.
A truly special night made possible by all those who came out in support of the 2024 Nicky Lopez Charity Classic.
As a recruiter for the Illinois National Guard, Jenna loves helping others enlist and find their path within the military. While in the service, she was experiencing some pain in her side and having trouble breathing. She was then diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. After several rounds of failed chemotherapy, she went through CAR T-Cell therapy, and luckily, that was a success.
However, as well all know, even when in remission, the battle doesn’t stop there. The emotional and financial burden put on individuals, like Jenna, during the treatment process can last for months and years. Jenna, we are so happy to be able to provide you with some financial relief, and we are SO happy to welcome you into our family.
What a summer it was! So many incredible beneficiaries welcomed, another successful golf outing, an incredible time at Max Strus Camps and The Nicky Lopez Charity Classic, and so many other unforgettable memories.
… and with all that being said, let the countdown to WeishFest 2024 BEGIN!
With today being , we want to thank each and every one of you. Without you, we would not be able to welcome nearly 600 beneficiaries into the Weish4Ever family and grant OVER $3,000,000.
What started as a selfless wish by our namesake, Andrew Weishar, Weish4Ever has grown into a community and resource for the AYA community that we could have only dreamed of.
